Lovely tributes to the Mother of the House @HackneyAbbott in Parliament today. She was the only woman of colour I saw in the chamber when I was growing up and she’s smashed many a glass ceiling. Thank you Diane for your years of service.

Reforms success this evening is being wrongly framed. It’s about stagnant real wages, sky high rents and house prices, imploding public services, a sense it’s all crap. Labour must address those issues from day one.

❌ We NEVER want to see a sign like this ever again. ❌
The next government has the power to make that happen.
They can end the need for food banks.
ALT A sign with two arrows on. One arrow points left and is labelled 'food bank'. The second arrow points right and is labelled 'election'.

"The vote at the UN Security Council is a step in the right direction - the bare minimum children in Gaza expect from an institution that has let them down.
It is too late for the children who have been killed, abducted, displaced and starved, but it could save thousands more."

Military offensives in Gaza’s Middle Area have led to recurrent mass casualties.
“How can the killing of 800+ people in one week including small children... be considered a military operation adhering to int'l humanitarian law?”

Belgium condemns the Israeli parliament's attempts to classify UNWRA as a terrorist organisation and to remove the immunity of its staff.
UNWRA's activities are essential for the Palestinians in the face of the dramatic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

❌Standing up for human rights is not a crime. ❌Standing up against an arms factory making weapons is not a crime.
Over 35,562 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since Oct 7. This is a genocide. @PaxtonAccess, L3Harris’ landlord, must evict them from Brighton immediately.

Well done to @mikaelaloach for bringing up whats happening in Gaza on #BBCLaurak, when the subject hadn't been mentioned or raised by the host or any of the politicians up until that point.

As soon as I started telling the history of Palestine - and the fact that this genocide started 76 years ago with the Nakba, not with October 7th - they changed the subject to talk to Piers Morgan about a Netflix show. Interesting.

American surgeon Dr. Adam Hamoui:
"I have worked in war and disaster zones for 20 years, and what I saw in Gaza is unlike anything I've ever witnessed. I performed more amputations on children in two weeks in #Gaza than I have in my entire career‼️
