Topic: Liquidity absorption, level failure, and scam moves When a level gets tested, it usually works best on the first touch because that is where real liquidity is resting. Every time price comes back to the same level, that liquidity gets absorbed and the level becomes weaker. If resistance is retested multiple times, sell orders at that area get consumed. Once sellers are exhausted, price breaks above and you get a breakout. If support is retested again and again, buy orders get filled, demand dries up, and price eventually breaks down. Volume plays a big role here. A sudden increase in volume brings volatility and helps price move faster through levels. High volume at resistance can trigger a breakout quickly. High volume at support can force a breakdown without many retests. This is where scam pump and dump behavior usually shows up, especially in new or low liquidity tokens. Price gets pushed aggressively with high volume to break resistance and create a fake breakout. Retail chases the move thinking it is bullish. After liquidity is taken above the level, smart money distributes and price dumps hard, often breaking back below old support.
