> cleared R1 for ISB YLP (deferred MBA)

> had a joining offer from consulting firms
left it all because i couldnt imagine myself working my ass off 9-5 for all my life. raising ipad kids. having to ask permission from boss to take someone to hospital or kids to PTM.
saw people with prestigious degrees also just working paychecks to paychecks.
nothing made sense. so i did what any retard would do. start from scratch again. no connections. no friends. no hand to hold. all alone in a new city by myself.
i dont regret anything in past 6 months. no matter how bumpy the ride has been. still believe, my life would have been easier, otherwise but my soul would have died.
rich in life because my parents downloaded Substack just to read my articles. I don’t think any number of subscribers could ever beat that.🤍
YC founder: i want to be known for our product not just YC tag
also YC founder:
we are a YC startup
day in my life building a YC startup
working on my YC startup
its so funny that every one in blr has either an AI wrapper, a whop, or a “stealth” startup.
meanwhile @acharyaamrit and @srinathramki built a network of ~7,000 factories and are now listed on NSE and BSE.
atoms > bits.
the boring and complex stuff wins
congrats zetwerk 🫡
A pair of earbuds is a few grams of plastic, metal and electronics, made across several factories before it reaches a pocket. Solar panels, circuit boards and wind turbines are built the same way.
For years, buyers had to juggle those factories themselves, while the one with exactly the right machine often never heard about the order. ZETWERK (@zetwerk) set out to close that gap.
We first partnered with Amrit Acharya (@acharyaamrit) and Srinath Ramakkrushnan (@srinathramki) in 2019. Since then, that idea has grown into a network of nearly 7,000 suppliers, serving customers in 29 countries across energy, precision products and capital goods. Along the way, Zetwerk has brought work to builders from workshops in India to factory floors in Germany. Amrit and Srinath were joined by Vishal Chaudhary, Ankit Fatehpuria and Rahul Sharma in their journey.
Today, Zetwerk’s name goes up on the NSE and BSE. Behind that name are thousands of people who built it, one part at a time.
Congratulations Amrit, Srinath and the entire Zetwerk team. This film is for all of you, and everyone who builds with you.

he's a red flag if he wanna build from SF not BLR
SF’s dating pool was once, as an Egyptian founder put it to us, “drier than the desert in my homeland.”
Now, gorgeous women are flocking to the city.
Why? As AI gets cheaper to build, companies flush with venture cash are hiring beautiful women to charm investors and clients.
Enjoy it while it lasts, gentlemen. As @nicolewizman1 writes: paying hotties 6 figures to get drunk with your business prospects feels like a pretty good sign we’re in a bubble. 👇
Anyone can talk about why a startup looks promising after it starts growing, but TBH the more interesting question is what made an investor believe in it before that.
And that’s what makes Lightspeed’s The Investment Memo super coool!!
It goes back to the original thesis on SuperLiving and revisits it with the founders, including what the team got right and what has changed since.
Can't wait for the next!
🔊 The Investment Memo, Episode 1 🎙️
Every partnership at Lightspeed starts with an investment memo, where our team writes down what it believes about a company before we partner with it. In The Investment Memo, our new series, we open that memo with the founders it was written about and read from it, so you can see how an early investment decision is made.
Our first episode is with @SuperLivingApp, which is building an AI health coach for India, starting with users in tier 2 and tier 3 towns. People already ask AI about their health, but they rarely get someone who checks in with them the next day, and SuperLiving's coaches remember each user and follow up, at a price most families can pay.
We partnered with Manavdeep Singh Grover and Gurjot Kaur early at SuperLiving's Series A. When we wrote our memo, the app had 24,000 paid subscribers after about four months. Both founders came from Pocket FM, and they have shaped the product around what their users asked for.
In the episode, Lightspeed Partner @kumarharsha2212 and Vice President @PriyalMotw89880 read our memo to Manavdeep and Gurjot section by section, from the team and market to the risks we noted, and discuss what has shifted since.

The most universally relevant quote is, “life rewards action not intelligence”
I have to remind myself that everyday
no movement failed once 3.5% of the people had joined it
yet most movements fail
or maybe we did, as a society
