I genuinely don’t understand what Gabriel Magalhães has to do to be recognised as the best defender in the world.
Cubarsí plays in a less physically demanding league where Barcelona dominate most opponents, while Pacho benefits from playing fewer league games. Gabriel faces tougher opposition almost every week in the Premier League and consistently delivers, including in the biggest Champions League games.
He’s a massive reason Arsenal have the best defence in the league.
Gabriel Magalhães is the best defender in the world right now, and the only player close to his level is his injured partner, William Saliba. It’s not even close.
