Gotta be one of the most whiplash-inducing, self-inflicted falls from grace in the tech space of all time.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet todayâs security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

38 and decided to start driving again after like a billion years. I unironically wish I had this here.
That Roadster clip is literally so cool idc. Itâs very unfortunate all that coolness is sucked out of the room when that election-interfering dork ass chud starts speaking.
A conservative saying theyâre conservative because they want to âput economic issues ahead of social issuesâ is particularly funny.
They dropped that mask ages ago, thats how you know this video is old (and that that was a lie).
Big âstick it to âemâ energy here. Word salad nothingness. Vapid, non-specific vibes based policy non-positions.
He hates you. And worse â he thinks youâre all morons. For fucks sake vote El-Sayed.
U.S. Senate candidate @MikeRogersForMI's (R-MI) plan to reduce gas prices in the United States: "Let's make sure we are ready to go, that we have an unleashing American energy so that costs can come down very quickly."
Letâs not âsmol beanâ the AI menu epidemic.
Whoever harasses someone like this is a MUCH bigger loser, but it doesnât mean she canât learn the lesson that people donât want to patronise the computer generated doodoo coffee shop.
I talked to a coffee shop owner in Buffalo who was getting destroyed on Instagram after showing a photo of a fall menu poster she made with ChatGPT. One person with a big local following was DMing her and threatening to post about it she woudln't agree to hire an artist to redo it. But it turned out it was more complicated that her skipping out on hiring someone: she told me she's never hired anyone to make their chalkboard menu signs - either she did posters herself with photos and Canva or a staffer did in chalk. The AI menu was just her trying to reduce her own workload (she has a newborn and wanted to save time) businessinsider.com/coffee-sâŠ

Doesnât even make logical sense compared to the Gulf of Mexico buffoonery. Ontario is not a country.
If weâre doing this, we have to call it Lake Rochester. Our circus, our monkeys.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracleâs business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.Â
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still havenât given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldnât move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
