Character assassination is just the pathetic weapon of choice for those who are utterly incapable of competing on merit.

You can tell this person is mentally stable by how shamelessly violent he is.
It’s the same thing, but the douchbags are bigger. Like, way bigger. I would love an opportunity to punch Alex in his very punchable face. Guy would fold like a house of cards.

“The horse is here to stay, but the automobile is only a novelty—a fad.” — Michigan Savings Bank president to Henry Ford’s lawyer, 1903. “This ‘telephone’ has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value to us.” — Western Union internal assessment, 1876 “There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home.” — Ken Olsen, Digital Equipment Corp, 1977. “The Americans may need the telephone, but we do not. We have plenty of messenger boys.” — William Preece, British Post Office, 1876–78. “Television won’t be able to hold on to any market it captures after the first six months. People will soon get tired of staring at a plywood box every night.” — Darryl Zanuck / 20th Century Fox, 1946. “I predict the internet will soon go spectacularly supernova and in 1996 collapse.” — Robert Metcalfe, 1995.

The Dogecoin network itself will never belong to any single person or company. It cannot be claimed, captured, or subordinated to commercial interests. That property is baked into the protocol and the distribution of participants. The culture and infrastructure that surround it are different. Domain names, social accounts, Discord servers, subreddits, GitHub organizations, and legal entities can and must be owned and managed by people or organizations. These points of coordination are unavoidable. Without them, there is no mechanism to direct effort, allocate capital, or shape narrative. Ecosystems do not grow, harden, or evolve in the absence of some form of direction. Pretending otherwise does not eliminate coordination, it simply leaves it in the hands of whoever is willing to ignore the objections and act. A recurring pattern in these environments is the belief that power is inherently evil, independent of who holds it or what they do with it. Under this view, no action taken by a visible or well-resourced participant can be received in good faith. Intent is assumed to be extractive. Outcomes are presumed to be harmful. The mere existence of concentrated influence is treated as the problem to be opposed. This produces a predictable style of criticism. Objections are frequently framed around potential future abuses rather than present actions: “they are doing it for X nefarious purpose,” or “this will lead to Y bad outcome.” Because the claim is about what might happen later, it is difficult to falsify in the present and inexpensive to make. The burden falls entirely on anyone attempting to ship work, fund development, or maintain infrastructure. The result is a standing conflict between directed effort to improve the ecosystem and criticism of that effort conducted under the banner of protecting the community. The first requires decisions, tradeoffs, and visible actors. The second treats those requirements as illegitimate by default. Over time this dynamic tends to favor either stagnation or coordination that becomes less transparent, neither of which serves the stated goal of protecting the network or its users. The distinction that matters is between the unownable network and the necessarily ownable points of coordination around it. Treating the second as if it should behave like the first does not remove power. It only changes who exercises it and how openly they do so.

The victim of narcissist abuse is usually the one “crashing out” and visually upset. The abuser is the one keeping composure and telling everyone else “See, look at how crazy they are.”

This might sound crazy. But one of the skills you NEED to learn is how to deal with a more and more illiterate society full of emotionally dysregulated people. If you keep getting frustrated every day over how "ďumb" everything/everyone seems, the stress of it is going to wreck your mind.

You need to understand how Right-wing people under 40 view the Left. When we think of Leftists, we do not think of Barack Obama or Ezra Klein. Yes, these guys are on the Left, but younger Millennials and Zoomers on the Right do not think of Leftists in their own age bracket as polished technocrats. These are not the sort of people that make up our Left-wing counterparts that we grew up with, went to school with, or work with. When we think of Leftists, the first thing that pops into our head are a bunch of disgusting, depraved, spiteful mutants who want to destroy everything around them as payback for the crime of being born. We think of Discord troons that invaded our hobbies, Reddit mods who are drunk on the most insignificant power imaginable, that one girl from high school or college who became a literal Communist, and that friend or family member who cut off all contact because we refused to treat their mental illness like a status symbol. We think of people who, if they ever became a majority of the country and actually managed to possess political power, would inevitably kill tens of millions of people out of blind envy and petty cruelty. Younger people on the Right come across as impatient and anxious in their mindset and mannerisms because they understand what will eventually happen when these people succeed their Gen X and Boomer predecessors in the Democratic Party. They know what is to come if their own generational cohorts on the Left actually take power, and they feel incredibly exasperated that it seems like none of their parents or grandparents understand just how late the hour truly is.

A company that turns $80 of resources into something consumers willingly pay $100 for has potentially created value. A government program that spends $100 producing something worth $80 has destroyed value. But somehow the first is exploitation and the second is compassion.

If your protest can be hijacked and turned into a violent riot that pushes people away from your cause, maybe protesting isn't the right move.
