Coffee is great to drink but it also can be a fun relaxing activity with the kids! BTW, I recently heard on a podcast that caffeine is not a diuretic. Is this true? Any #chemists out there that can help with this?

Imp things are worth the effort! Yesterday was date night w my wife. My day began w a nutrient-rich breakfast, exercise, teaching, office hrs, meetings, emails, writing papers & grants, time with my kids, and playoff 🏀. I was on fire, but today I feel a bit tired. Now what?

In a recent tweet, my advice to students was to be flexible when tired. This increases the likelihood that you accomplish your tasks and still leave the lab feeling victorious! I may not be as productive today but I can still feel accomplished. Be kind to yourself 💪

I attended a CHAD seminar from @AHSIllinois by Dr. Bartlo and Prof. Berdychevsky about Ageism. It was fascinating. I have always respected and cared for the elderly. My grandma who recently passed away, lived until 106! 2 msgs: be patient with the elderly & make time for them.
