GPT-Rosalind surfaced a new lead for drug discovery: could restoring cholesterol transport protect neurons from degeneration?
DCTN1 is a gene linked to Perry syndrome, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. In mouse-brain data, disrupting it increased expression of genes involved in making cholesterol. GPT-Rosalind suggested a possible explanation: cholesterol may not be reaching where neurons need it.
That gives scientists a specific mechanism to test and, if confirmed, a direction for developing new treatments for neurodegenerative disorders.
With @perturbai_tx and @scrippsresearch, a team of thousands of GPT-Rosalind agents worked in parallel, connecting gene-expression results from millions of mouse brain cells with scientific literature in just 32 minutes. We’re now expanding this collaboration to identify new drug targets.

Great achievement on AI forecasting by @Apodex_AI, led by @SimonShaoleiDu . Congrats!
First entry, first place. 🥇
Apodex ranks #1 on this week's ProphetArena — one of the most influential live benchmarks for AI forecasting, covered by The Atlantic and Yahoo Finance, with every frontier model on the board: Gemini, Claude, GPT, Grok, DeepSeek, Kimi. It's scored by Brier — not just whether you're right, but whether your confidence is right. Apodex hit 0.0897, ahead of every frontier lab, and more accurate than the Kalshi market itself.
Static benchmarks test what a model knows. Prediction tests whether it can reason about what doesn't exist yet — the bridge from benchmarks to Discoverative AI. That's what we're building toward with TRACES: discovertraces.ai/
GPT6 Astra achieved the best performance on our discovery benchmark TRACES, which not only measures outcomes, but also the problem solving process.
@gdb @sama
GPT-6 Astra @OpenAI is here. Everyone's asking how smart it is.
We asked a different question: can it discover the unknown?
We ran it through TRACES — our benchmark for scientific discovery capability. Six process dimensions, not one score.
Result: it tops our leaderboard. Real generational jump — Evidence and Coherence both up ~20-25% over GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-5.5. Highest Coherence we've ever recorded.
But the six dimensions don't move together, and that's exactly why one "how smart" number isn't enough. Some capabilities leap forward, others hold steady, in the same model.
That unevenness is what a process score is built to catch.

Our Apodex 1.1 technical report is now featured on @huggingface Daily Papers.
Complex work requires sustained interaction with files, information sources, and executable code—along with state maintenance, failure recovery, and verifiable delivery.
We call this working capability: sustained, verifiable progress toward a real-world objective.
Apodex 1.1 develops it through Environment Scaling and Agentic Coordination Scaling, connected by a shared execution harness and AgentOS.

Excited to contribute to Apodex 1.0! 🔭 We built an agent team that does deep research and verifies every claim before it commits — achieving a new SOTA on deep research. Try it out: apodex.ai
Meet 𝗔𝗽𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝟭.𝟬 🔭 — a heavy-duty agent team for deep research, which sets the SOTA! The team searches the web, reasons over evidence, and writes reports where every claim is backed by an explicit 𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯, independently audited before delivery.
