After a summer hiatus, and podcasting abeyance, Chris and Kyle are back in the dungeon recording season five of Two Pour Spirits!
Anybody flying this holiday season?
Listen to this episode of Two Pour Spirits before you do.
Don't be a negative neighbor. Cultivate communion.
You can listen to that episode here:

This week, on Two Pour Spirits, Chris and Kyle chat with award-winning author, @TheAlanNoble, about living well with technology!
Does technology bring more chaos for us than comfort? Can our devices help conform us to Christ? What are best practices for families? This and more!
We're about halfway through Season Five on "Neighboring Tech" & we still have so much to discuss with so many brilliant people!
"Welcome to another episode of Two Pour Spirits! Where signature cocktails meet spirited conversations for the sake of the Church & the common good."

This past Friday, I hosted the Pittsburgh Public Theology Salon (as I do every month). I was in the mood to make and mix, so I crafted a spicy Falernum Negroni.
Here are the specs:
- 1 oz Plymouth gin
- 1 oz Campari
- ½ oz sweet vermouth
- ½ oz Falernum (Maggie's Farm)*
- ¼ oz Day of the Lord (Cointreau & spices)
- Stir, serve up or over a large cube, garnish with an orange peel.
*the Falernum should season the Negroni, not turn it into a tiki drink. Decrease amount accordingly.
Try it, and let me know what you think!
Last Friday, the common good was sought, apprehended, and stretched, as Chris and Kyle recorded a Two Pour Spirits episode with Kevin Tan, a Pittsburgh-based civil engineer. They talked bridges and Christ, sushi and hospitality, and dealing with anxiety.
Kevin noted that one of his favorite episodes of Two Pour Spirits is the one Chris and Kyle recorded on vocation: "You Do You: How to Figure Out Your Calling in Life."

Is God more like an Architect, Auditor, or Artist?
As bearers of His image and disciples of His Way, how best do we witness to Him? Through our plans, professions, prayers, or play?
He commands us to love our enemies. Is that more like building a bridge or making sushi?
Reforming the Church, the common good, and cocktail recipes since circa 2025.
Onward and upward. Let's go!
This week, on Two Pour Spirits, Chris and Kyle take a brief hiatus from their musings on machines to talk with Pittsburgh-based professional engineer, Kevin Tan. Kevin specializes in bridge structural design and transportation project management. He also has mad sushi skills.
They’ll talk:
1. Loving our neighbors through good design(s).
2. The relationship between (civil) engineering and civility.
3. How to build bridges (figuratively and literally) with others.
4. Are there parallels between designing and hosting?
The Pittsburgh Public Theology Salon consists of academic theologians and philosophers, pastors, and lay members of the Church who meet monthly to discuss pressing issues facing the Church and the common good. All while sipping a signature cocktail (or two).
The aim of the group—composed of Reformed, Catholic, Lutheran, and Anglican believers—will be to produce and publish an ecumenical study guide for parents to use in the living room, professors in the classroom, and pastors in the sanctuary.
Another signature Two Pour Spirits cocktail recipe dropped today!
It's called "Martha's Table" and it's offensively delicious.
Make a couple, and make your home benefit others.
