maybe the point isn't to become so wise and stoic that nothing ever hurts your feelings. maybe it's to become secure enough that you can feel the sting, laugh at yourself a little, learn what you need to learn, and keep your heart open anyway.

I completely understand emotion, passion, and feeling over looked but being a music executive (especially a black one) is way harder than it looks.
Have empathy for those of us doing the work. Without being in this blender it’s hard to fully understand the level of sacrifice.
