Good resource.
If possible, use clv as (another) metric. You’d need only around 100 bets to see where you stand…
the number of bets you need depends on your price and your edge, not a round number like 1,000. a 4% edge at -110 needs about 2,260 bets before expected profit sits 2 standard errors above zero. at +300 it needs about 7,700. a 2% edge at -110 needs about 9,070.
price sets the noise on every bet, and the edge is squared in the formula, so halving your edge takes about 4x the bets.

Saudi to score the fewest Goals @ 41.0 ❌
Qatar to score the fewest Goals @ 23.0 ❌
1. 🇹🇳 Tunisia 0,95xG
2. 🇨🇼 Curaçao 1,39xG
3. 🇵🇾 Paraguay 1,45xG
4. 🇮🇶 Iraq 1,51xG
5. 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia 1,54xG
6. 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan 1,61xG
7. 🇦🇺 Australia 1,88xG
8. 🇵🇦 Panama 1,88xG
9. 🇯🇴 Jordan 1,92xG
10. 🇶🇦 Qatar 1,96xG
Panama became the winner of the market with 0 Goals but as you can see the market was expected to be very tight and it’s not clear that Panama was the best bet here, so we decided to analyze the pre-odds compared to xG to find the best bets for this market (in hindsight) based off xG.
The best value plays comes out as: Tunisia, Saudi and Paraguay.
Not Panama that won the market in the end! 🇵🇦
Our simulations picked up one of these: Saudi @ 41x and missed the others as Paraguay underperforms heavily compared to market expectations and the same can be said for Tunisia that might have been the worst team in the WC this year.
🇳🇱 Netherlands FT v Tunisia went from 1.60 pre-tournament to 1.12 at kick-off in R3.
Mexico to reach R16 @ 2.25 ✅
Ecuador Under 6.5 Goals @ 1.90 ✅
Ivory Coast Under 6.5 Goals @ 1.66 ✅
To Qualify & Not Qualify Combo @ 5.67 ✅
Colombia Group Winner @ 3.55 ✅
England Under 13.5 Goals @ 1.61 ⚪️
Spain out in R32 @ 5.0 ⚪️ (Cash Out advised at profit / +/-)
Argentina out in R32 @ 4.0 ⚪️ (Cash Out advised at profit / +/- 0)
England bet still alive and looks good given current odds TQ versus Mexico. The home advantage at high altitude looks heavily priced in as England are 1.75 TQ compared to ~1.50 in our models with standard home advantage.
Spain @ 5.0 looks like a bad bet in the end, overestimated the strength of Austria and for Argentina we are very happy with the price we got, just one of those times (~25%) where they did not play Spain/Uruguay in R32.
Good profit locked in, hopefully some of you were able to tail!

Kane ✅ Bellingham ✅ Rashford ✅🫣
🏴 England - DR Congo 🇨🇩
Three bets on the exchanges for us to this early kick-off between England and Congo. The UK Bookies loves their boosted odds which creates some decent liquidity that we can be a part off!
⚽️ Harry Kane to Score @ 1.95+
⚽️ Rashford 1+ Shot on Target @ 1.65+
⚽️ Bellingham 1+ Shot on Target @ 1.75+
Kane is priced @ 1.80 with Pinnacle and we've correct odds around 1.75-1.85 so clearly a boost driving the price here higher than 1.90 and for a liquid market we'll take a +5-10% EV bet like this every day of the week.
Bellingham and Rashford not the easiest once to price but we believe they'll get 60-70 minutes and will then have the correct odds around 1.50-1.55 for Rashford and 1.60-1.65 for Bellingham.
Should be decent liquidity available for everyone since England is playing, loads of action getting matched.
Fair odds mostly coming from our usage feature on propsdata.io , one of the easiest way to use the markets valuation for Shots on Target, Goals etc. and translate it into player prop odds!

@ 1.66 ✅ @ 2.20 ✅ @ 3.40 ✅
⚽️ Canada Under 6.5 Goal Kicks @ 1.66
⚽️ Canada Under 5.5 Goal Kicks @ 2.20
⚽️ Canada Under 4.5 Goal Kicks @ 3.40
Expecting a quite dominant performance here at home for Canada, opponents of South Africa in the group stage had: 5, 8, 5 Goal Kicks.
And with 5 Goal Kicks within the first 10 minutes versus Bosnia, Canada did not concede a lot of goal kicks overall versus the other opponents: 7, 2, 5.
The 2 did however come versus a Qatar with 2 red cards, one quite early in the first half too so not really representative.
Numbers looks a bit boosted because of this, so fair odds probably a bit higher than what the model says!
Let's see how this one goes - Good Luck! 🤞

3 Corners✅ @ 1.90 , @ 3.75
All 3 for Austria so no dice on the @ 23.0
Bet closed very well, just like it did for the "draw" backers but if the bet was good in the end is another story as Austria seemed to not care about playing for the draw😅
Stats from Propsdata helping a lot here too knowing that Austria is a low volume corner team either way if both teams want a draw or not.
Good win in the end, things like this is hard to predict and nothing better than to follow the intuition of the market. If the market is wrong, so be it - over time they'll be right!

🇫🇷 Kylian Mbappe to Score @ 1.67+ (Exchange)
Mbappe delivers a massive volume of shots, shots on target and goals anywhere he plays.
In his last 30 games for France he's had a goalshare of 34.4% and in Real Madrid this season he had a goalshare close to 50%!
Given the current expectations for 🇫🇷 France Goals versus Iraq a goal share between 30-35% for Mbappe gives us fair odds somewhere around 1.50-1.55
A clear value play here in our eyes playing Mbappe to score anytime @ 1.67+
⚡️L30 34.4% Usage = 1.45 Correct odds
🇦🇷 Lionel Messi to Score @ 2.28+ (Exchange)
Not close to the level of the Mbappe bet but still a small edge in our eyes, we'd have the fair price around 2.15. Boosted on Bet365 which creates some liquidity on the exchanges at a decent price.
Similar to Mbappe a goal share around 30-35% for Messi in Argentina gives us these numbers that we're using to determine the correct odds.

Isak ✅ Gyokeres ✅
🇸🇪 Sweden - Netherlands 🇳🇱
Happily taking the two main strikers for Sweden here to have a shot on goal each on exchanges, will be on the counters here versus a Netherlands team who'd like to get 3 points to be comfortable ahead of R3 game versus Tunisia.
🇸🇪 Viktor Gyökeres Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 1.85+
📊 1+ SOT in 13/15 Games for Sweden
📈 Model odds: 1.26
⚡️ Usage model odds: 1.68
🇸🇪 Alexander Isak Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 1.80+
📊 1+ SOT in 12/15 Games for Sweden
📈 Model odds: 1.41
⚡️ Usage model odds: 1.71
The Usage model clearly the reality check for the "normal" model here, the high averages not adjusted enough based on the opponent which the Usage models does perfectly.
Will mainly be counters for Sweden to get shots on target today, could argue for Usage around 30% for both Gyokeres and Isak leaving us with fair odds around 1.60
Bit harder to get matched on the Alex Isak odds and Gyokeres odds just better so clearly the stand out play here @ 1.85+

🏴 England - Croatia 🇭🇷
⚽️ Harry Kane SOT @ 1.50+ (Exchange)
🎯 1+ SOT 16/20 Games
We’ve fair odds based off his last 20 games here @ 1.22 and our usage models puts him @ 1.32 meaning we can with a pretty high confidence say that 1.50+ for a SOT here is GREAT value and you’re able to get matched for whatever you want to get down.
📊 Model: 1.22

🇵🇹 Portugal - Kongo 🇨🇩
⚽️ Bruno Fernandes 1+ SOT @ 1.75+ (Exchange)
🎯 1+ SOT 14/20 Games
We’ve fair odds based off his last 20 games here @ 1.62 and our usage models puts him @ 1.54, the Harry Kane bet is obviously better seen to +EV and variance but still good value to be found here.
📊 Model: 1.62
⚡️ Usage Model: 1.54
Bet365 1.25 for a Harry Kane SOT and Kambi 1.56 for a Bruno Fernandes SOT looks much more reasonable than the exchange prices here, guessing There’s some good boosts available on these plays too somewhere.

U2.5 goals was ~2.0 pre-match. It just dropped to 1.53 after a 20-min sub vs Cape Verde.
That move proves the market had priced him for a full 90. We had ~15-20 min all along.
Assuming that he’s now fit and will play 90 v Saudi the line is more or less correct given a high goal share %
• 15% goal share → fair 1.20
• 20% share → fair 1.40
• 25% share → fair 1.70
⚽️ Lamine Yamal Under 2.5 Goals @ 2.0 (B365, MGM)
⚽️ Mbappe H2H v Yamal @ 1.44 (B365, MGM)
⚽️ Oyarzabal Spain Topscorer @ 2.65 (Betsson)
This is a play on the minutes of Lamine Yamal in the two opening games, there's no way to be 100% certain about this but we're willing to bet on the minutes to be limited.
Close to half of the expected amount of goals for Spain in the tournament comes versus Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia:
6.22 out of 12.49 expected Goals.
Based off the information that's available, we know that Yamal did not play anything in the friendlies, he was not even on the bench in the last one but he's progressing well in training according to coach De La Fuente.
Reports saying that Barcelona have wished for Yamal to play gradually in the first games so we have simulated his expected goals based off Barcelonas wishes:
"The club’s preferred blueprint is for Yamal to play approximately 15 minutes against Cape Verde, around 60 minutes against Saudi Arabia, and then be in a position to complete the full 90 against Uruguay in the final group stage fixture."
With that being said there's a good chance that Lamine Yamal plays less if Spain have already secured to group win ahead of R3, as the best teams are expected to rotate heavily due to the increase of games this world cup where finalists will play 8 games within one month time.
For these calculations we have used the feature on our site called Usage. We simulate how many goals there's expected for Spain, France etc. and then we try to estimate how many of these goals will be scored by Lamine Yamal, Mbappe, Oyarzabal.
The most important one - Lamine Yamal:
Spain data: 8.7% of Spains goals, we see this as unreasonably low however and have used his Barcelona data to create a more reliable number.
Barcelona data: 26.7% usage, drops to 21.2% if we remove penalties which Oyarzabal is expected to be on for Spain.
We simulated with 15, 20 and 25% usage to see the differences in valuations and see if the bookies odds are reasonable given the expected playing minutes.
For Mbappe we have been expecting 30-35% usage and Oyarzabal 25-30% usage for our calculations.
Bookies implies that it's much tighter between Oyarzabal and Lamine Yamal than our calculations given reduced playing minutes, mainly due to the heavy load of goals expected to be scored by Spain in the opening games.
We'd have Oyarzabal closer to 2.25 given that Yamal plays a limited amount in the first two games. As mentioned earlier, this is a bet on Yamals playing time and the worst case if he is playing all the games we still see a limited downside with these odds, there's no huge -EV positions if he is playing. To us it seems like the prices is simply expecting him to be playing in all games as usual.
The three bets above are correlated, stake accordingly.

Combo: @ 6.50
Models are great to predict average games, this is a far from an average game but think there's a decent chance we'll see something similar like Germany - Curacao yesterday.
Spain total dominance, high press when loosing the balls leading to a decent amount of tackles and free kicks to Cape Verde.
Models probably not "spot" on here with the correct lines as it's impossible with these international teams playing 10-12 games a year with players rotating in and out of the teams it does however indicate that we think the bookies are off with their lines here.
The gap between the best teams and the worst have proven to be bigger than expected and we expect to see nothing else here tonight.
Cape Verde will get their chances on the counter but Spain will dominate, hopefully they'll give it a chance and we'll see Shots, Free Kicks and Tackles stack up!

🚀Bet365 Superboost 🇨🇦 Canada - Bosnia 🇧🇦
⚽️Canada FT + Canada Most SOT @ 2.25 ➡️ 3.0
Should you take the boost? Full calculations ⬇️
Canada are currently priced @ 1.819 on Pinnacle, the most liquid bookie for the World Cup and therefor the correct way to find the correct odds for any Over/Under or 1x2 markets.
Removing Pinnacles vig (their margin on the odds, that's how they make money) we get that the fair odds should be for Canada to Win:
1.873
To find out how likely Canada are as a Team to have more shots on Target than Bosnia Herzegovina we use Propsdata Models available on our site.
And according to our models, the correct odds for Canada Most SOT = 1.59, pretty much in line with bookmakers like Kambi and Bet365 offering 1.58 and 1.57.
So we have two very reliable numbers to work with, just have one last thing to do.
To win a game you need to score at least one goal, and when you score a goal you usually have a shot on target unless there's an own goal.
There's a lot more going into it too, like Teams that score early are less likely to shoot a lot and so on so we'll keep it simple here and assume a 5% increase in likelihood to have the most shots on target given that you win the game.
This gives us: 1.873*1.59/1.05=2.83 Correct Odds
3.0/2.83 = 1.06 which means that there's 6% EV on this boost and not close to the Value of yesterdays opening game and never really close to the odds of Bet365 either.
If you're playing small and for fun, take the bet. If you're more serious and want to keep your accounts unrestricted for higher EV bets - do so!

The pricing of the AFC qualifying teams have been the main edge of the outright markets so far.
Seen to the opening odds there's been a lot of movements and some of our best outrights so far are from going against the AFC teams.
(Pinnacle prices)
Saudi Arabia to not Qualify @ 1.90 (1.53)
Saudi Arabia to finish 4th @ 3.40 (2.14)
Qatar to not Qualify @ 1.50 (1.23)
Iraq 0 Points @ 2.20 (1.95)
According to our simulations we still see some value in the Saudi Arabia prices.
Bet365 have them priced @ 1.66 to not qualify while our simulations have them as low as 1.42 due to Cape Verde actually being the favorite between the two in the last round of qualification.
The value for the to qualify markets and the group stage as a whole is starting to diminish as Pinnacle have released outright markets themselves and odds for all of the group stage rounds. Before R3 was released there was a lot of opportunities but these were corrected much quicker than what we expected.
There's still som value to be found if you're able to look past the group stages as these % are now very available to the market.
One of our favorite long shots still available is Uruguay to be the top team from South America @ 12.0 , where we have the fair odds closer to 7.0 for bookies with dead-heat settling of tied bets.
Anyone on some outrights still available that they like?
