Brazil is a tragic case study. Once you let communism in, it’s tough to vote it out. They sink their claws into the Supreme Court and do everything possible legal or illegal to stay in power, even after Flávio destroyed Lula (a criminal) in the debate. Stay alert 🇺🇸!

🚨 HOLY CRAP! A defiant Flavio Bolsonaro just walked out and declared THE RESULTS ARE INVALID after Lula STOLE it from him — BOLSONARO IS MOVING TO ANUL THE RESULTS. "It is impossible—it is IMPOSSIBLE—to recognize the election results in the context of how these things happened. We are going to use our legal team; we are going to ask for the annulment of these elections!" "I will never know, in a state where the polling stations were not reopened, how many votes I could have received." "A Supreme Court justice, for the first time in history—Lula's former lawyer—issued a unilateral decree at the request of a former law partner of his, and changed the rules of the game in the middle of the game!" "At 5:01 PM, Justice Zanin—who is not part of the Superior Electoral Court—trampling over the specialized electoral court, made a decision extending voting by two hours. This had never happened in the history of Brazil!" Good. This needs to happen. America is with you, FLAVIO! We all saw the last-minute cheat.

So we're supposed to believe - according to authorities - that Bondi had 'nothing to do with religion' but the attack on Helen Haines might have been influenced by satirical cartoons rather than an extensive history of mental health problems. Yep. We have a misinformation crisis in this country. But social media ain't the problem.

How much longer are we going to allow police, ASIO, and politicians to blame social media for THEIR failures?

2008: Russia takes about 20% of Georgia. 2026: Russia holds about 20% of Ukraine. Same percentage. Same method. Same West, surprised every time.

I will never forget the day that I watched Democrats refuse to stand for Iryna Zarutska’s mother at the State of the Union. It was so shockingly evil, that even while I watched it, I could barely believe it. Honestly, I still can’t. It was so insanely radicalizing.

Trump and his team act like they are mediating between two countries equally responsible for the war in Ukraine. That framework is morally and analytically wrong and does not advance peace. Treating Putin like he deserves something from his illegal, barbaric invasion only emboldens him to ask for more.

I find myself once again asking the question, why are two random real-estate developers negotiating all foreign deals on behalf of the United States government? Why is Marco Rubio (US secretary of state) not the one doing the deals? I think this question will become important…

Replying to @cornu__copia
A lot of nominally anti-immigration people have a really bad mental model of the world, and they don't really understand on a visceral level what the population levels of India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines etc look like - there is a de facto *infinite* supply of these people and by simple entropic logic they will get *everywhere* in the absence of extremely strict controls at both ends.

Allan Brunon, the man in a suit, is indeed a member of the far-left political party LFI but he is a municipal concillor in the city of Grenoble. He's not a member of the parliement. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allan_Bru… grenoble.fr/elu/191/1225-a…
