The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council's decision requiring Afghan medical students in Pakistan to return to Afghanistan is patently discriminatory and arbitrary in nature. The consequences of this decision are especially severe for female students, many of whom have already been denied access to higher education in Afghanistan amid Taliban’s ongoing gender persecution and now face the prospect of losing one of the few remaining pathways to pursue their education and profession. Many of these students will have devoted years studying medicine, only to see their education brought to an abrupt and unjustifiable end, with little prospect of being able to resume their studies elsewhere. Pakistan has obligations under international human rights law to uphold the right to education without discrimination on the basis of national origin. Amnesty International urges the authorities to adopt a humane and practical solution that allows Afghan students, including women and girls, to complete their education.

We inch closer and closer to the mango crate. I don’t even wish anything else at this point. Anyone with the playbook of “mowing grass” (where you allow periodic violence and killing to keep populations at a baseline fear) should find his end in that pretty sweet crate.

I love the word “architecture”. Takes things out of abstraction, imparts physical properties, hierarchies. I’m offended when some of you call it AI-slang

My older cousin got pregnant at 29 after years of saying she wasn’t sure she even wanted kids. When she finally decided she did, it felt intentional. Thought out. Safe. At 14 weeks she developed intense itching on her hands and feet. She mentioned it at her appointment. The nurse said pregnancy does weird things to skin. She went home with lotion samples. The itching got worse. She couldn’t sleep. She called again. They told her it was probably hormones. At 28 weeks she noticed the baby wasn’t moving as much. At the hospital they found no heartbeat. They called it “one of those unexplained stillbirths.” She drowned in that word. Unexplained. Her marriage didn’t survive the silence that followed. He wanted to try again immediately. She was terrified. They divorced two years later. At 45 she was reading about intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy and felt sick. The symptoms matched exactly. She requested her old labs. Her bile acid levels had been elevated. The result was flagged. No one had followed up. No medication. No monitoring plan. Just lotion. It wasn’t random. It was missed. She spent years thinking her body failed quietly. It turns out it had been asking for help the whole time.
what’s a clear example of medical misogyny you’ve witnessed or experienced?

Acquiring aircraft for April is simply not feasible. No leasing company is currently willing to provide planes to Pakistan, and the few that might are demanding exorbitantly high lease rates. For context, an outright purchase of an A320neo would cost around $88 million. Let's focus on realistic expectations instead. Separately, the Gulfstream G500 is intended exclusively for VVIP operations and has no connection whatsoever to Air Punjab.
Air Punjab is cleared for takeoff! 🛫 The Punjab Government is launching its own airline this April, and the plan is as efficient as it gets: ✅ 7 aircraft to start domestic operations. ✅ International routes coming in 2 years. ✅ 100% commercial—no "VIP" freebies. Even the CM pays for a seat! This initiative aims to boost the economy without draining the national treasury. Who’s ready to book their first flight? 🎫 #Punjab #AirPunjab #TravelPakistan #Innovation #Pakistan

In Pakistan's 2024 general elections, MQM-P won the majority of National Assembly seats in Karachi, seventeen constituencies according to the Election Commission. But did the returned candidates really win, or were results altered after polls closed? This investigation examines three Karachi constituencies: NA-242 (Mustafa Kamal vs Dawa Khan Sabir), NA-238 (Sadiq Iftikhar vs Haleem Adil Sheikh), and NA-236 (Hassaan Sabir vs Alamgir Khan). We compared National and Provincial Assembly results, analyzed turnout patterns, examined Form 45 documents, and identified mathematical fingerprints revealing vote manipulation. All data and evidence mentioned in the video is publicly available for independent verification: drive.google.com/drive/folde…

Pakistani doctors aren’t praised enough for their capabilities to deal with emergency. They are the most resilient lot nobody cares for the duty hours or their comfort when it’s about emergency
Excellent job done by hospitals in Islamabad specially after today’s horrific incident. As per PIMS data they received 149 individuals, 28 dead and 121 injured. Critical care was given and none of injured lost life. 20 major surgeries done so far, 5 underway, 60 blood transfusions done. All surgeons, doctors, paramedics, nursing working tirelessly. Prayers for all.
