“The core problem was staffing. August 15 is not an ordinary day for Kibeho. Hotels know months in advance that pilgrims will not sleep and will arrive hungry. Yet staffing resembled a normal weekday: kitchens closed, no night shift, no surge capacity. This was both a service failure and a business failure. Pilgrims were willing to pay. With only three staff serving more than 100 people, everyone pays the price—the guests, the staff, the investors, and ultimately, the government.”

I like candidates who support the Democratic party.
Those candidates sound reasonable to me. They understand who the enemy is. Republicans. 🤷🏾♀️
It’s literally that simple.

A true honor to have Hon @XandrineUmutoni on set with us!
History is not only preserved in archives and memorials. Sometimes, it is rebuilt scene by scene, take by take.
Today, MoS @XandrineUmutoni, visited the set of the Bisesero film project, where an extraordinary team is bringing to life the story of the Bisesero resistance through the eyes of Epiphanie, daughter of Aminadabu Birara, who led one of the most remarkable acts of resistance during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Behind every camera movement, costume, and rehearsal is a commitment to historical accuracy and to honoring the resilience and courage of the Basesero.
This is more than filmmaking. It is an act of remembrance and a testament to the power of Rwanda’s creative industries to preserve history, honour memory, and share our stories with the world.

This made my day IYKYK Otis
Otis Redding died in a plane crash just three days after recording "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay". Since he had not yet finished the lyrics, he ended up whistling the ending, and this whistling was in the official version. Steve Cropper completed the songwriting after his death.
Released as a single in January 1968, it was Otis' first and only single to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it spent four weeks at the top. The song won two posthumous Grammys and became one of the greatest classics in soul music.

Has anyone paused to understand the gravity of the fact that we have a sitting president who will bomb human beings in an attempt to hide the fact that he and Epstein sexually assaulted girls and women? This is truly a level of evil that is hard to comprehend.

In December, President Trump called for me to be investigated, arrested, and hanged over a 90-second video that restated existing law.
My lawyer's advice was straightforward: go quiet. Keep your head down. This will blow over.
But in this administration, the reality is that keeping your head down does not keep you safe. Staying quiet when power comes after you does not make the threat go away. It just teaches the people making the threat that it works.
When a president can call for the arrest and execution of a sitting senator for quoting the law, and the expected response is silence, that's a problem that goes way beyond me. That affects every American who works in government, every journalist, every ordinary citizen who might speak up.
A grand jury of ordinary Americans looked at this situation and said no. They understood what was at stake, and I think most Americans do.
We refuse to accept that this is the new normal.
This moment isn't really about me. When the administration is willing to go after a senator this way, it sends a message to every American who might speak up. That should concern people in both parties.
