fanartists can do commissions, set up shops selling products with other people's characters, put "don't repost" on every piece of fanart they put out, but if a fic writer asks to not be reposted or (god forbid) asks for kudos/comments yall will take them out back and shoot them

my 2 cents on the AO3 & drive reupload thing is that writers should be treated the same as artists cuz ppl get up in arms when art gets reposted w/o credit, but suddenly its ok for a writer's work to be reuploaded w/o permission? & "they post for free" is not a valid argument
