Yoruba leaders are so foolish when it comes to liberalism Doing stupid inclusiveness that they never did for ur people, instead of protecting the interest of their own people. They haven’t learnt a thing since this era & it’s out come. Look at them even making excuses for them
"The Igbo candidate we chose is nowhere to be found. Once he arrived in Abuja, he said we are nothing. He even called us the Yorubas in his constituency a minority. That alone is humiliating. It is quite shameful, and we have all now seen that he does not deserve our support. We will participate massively in the coming elections. We must convince our children, who seem indifferent to the election, to come out and vote. As they vote for Hon. Ladi, they should also vote for Obe for the House of Representatives, Adebule for Senate, Hamzat for Governor of Lagos, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President." - Osolo HRM Oba Issa Abiodun Faronbi-Shekoni

Hot take- yoruba men that marry non yoruba women and insist on performing the rites to marry a yoruba woman are weirdos. Why don’t you want to honour your bride’s rites to ask for her hand in marriage the proper way, but would rather pretend you are marrying a yoruba women.

His wife stood by him for 20 years ke? For a man that was born in 1992, na she raise am ni? Lol.
This is Toluwanisings. Before you knew his praise, he was Alfa Sodiq. Born into a Muslim family in Ikirun. Fuji singer on the streets. No microphone, no stage, just a dream. He moved to Lagos with nothing. Studied Estate Management at YABATECH. But after class, he would run to Christ Apostolic Church to coordinate the choir. That's where God found his voice. For 12 YEARS, he sang to empty rooms. In 2021, he posted a song on Instagram. 500 followers. No likes. He almost deleted it. The next morning, Woli Arole DM'd him: "Who are you? Guy, you are GOOD. I will post your song this week." That one post changed everything. Mike Abdul shared it. Bidemi Olaoba shared it. Big Bolaji shared it. Suddenly, the boy who sang Fuji was leading praise for millions. He didn't become a celebrity. He became a MINISTER. He created TOGOMM - Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry. Songs like Emi Mimo Ese, Unreserved Praise, Agbara Olorun - he fused that Fuji energy into Holy Ghost praise. You couldn't stand still when he sang. He married Itohan, the woman who stood with him for 20 years when he had nothing. They had two daughters. He always said, "My wife is my pillar." In July 2026, he escaped death. His team vehicle hit a trailer on his way back from ministration. He came online shaking, saying, "Divine intervention saved us." We all said "Thank God." We didn't know God was preserving him for just 3 more months. October 13, 2026. Ibadan. He was on fire at Bidemi Olaoba's In His Presence program. Jumping, sweating, shouting Emi Mimo Ese. His last ministration. No one knew. He got home, told his wife "I'm tired." He slumped. October 14, 2026. 41 years old. Gone. A man who survived a trailer accident in July, left us in October after saying he was tired. But hear this: He didn't live long. He lived DEEP. He proved that you can start as Sodiq the Fuji boy and end as Toluwanisings the man who made millions shout Jesus. He proved that Estate Management certificate can stay in the drawer when your calling is on the altar. He proved that 500 followers is not the end, when God is your promoter. Some people wait for perfect conditions to serve God. He served with nothing and God gave him everything. His praise will continue to bless us even after he is gone. I will keep sharing his ministrations because testimonies like his deserve to be remembered. I saved his testimony here because it is proof that God can rewrite any man's story. From Sodiq the Fuji boy to a voice that filled churches. I have had Unreserved Praise on repeat since yesterday. Which of his songs carried you through a hard season? I am reading every tribute tonight. 📸 Photo: @toluwanisings / Instagram #Toluwanisings #fyp #trending

“When we got to Toluwani’s house, I was shocked to see his wife and her mother eating and watching TV. I thought there had been an agreement to bury him in his house, but his wife refused. I asked her to allow him to be buried in the family house, but she said it was too far” — Toluwani’s uncle

For the people arguing that he spent on her what not, Are they saying if you spent on someone that you then have the right to take their lives? Cos I don’t understand And it’s men dabbling into that argument.

It’s only people with no significant cultural identity that would do this, people who totally hate and reject who they truly are. Shamelessness This copy copy is second to none
Must everything be copied? What troubles me isn't only the borrowing. It's what's being lost on both sides. Every culture has their own rich traditions and their own ways of leading a wedding ceremony. Each time you swap something out, you are erasing your culture with your own hands. From Gèlè to ìpèlé, abẹ̀bẹ̀, irùkẹ̀rẹ̀, now Alága and Ìdọ̀bálẹ̀. Where does it really end? And instead of crediting the source, the next step is always co-ownership. “We call it this in our own language, you didn’t invent MC”. In another generation, these wedding videos will be held up as proof by your children claiming you’ve never been to Lagos. Putting this out now that Alága is a Yorùbá institution and practice. The Alága Ìdúró and Alága Ìjókòó guide the ceremony in our language, proverbs and protocol. It isn't a generic wedding MC role. We don’t want to hear stories later. Thanks.

This is the moment that makes every Yoruba bride cry 🥹 It's not the dance. It's when her mother covers both of them with the veil. Under that veil, no one can hear what her mother is praying for her. This is the real Yoruba wedding. Not aso-ebi. Have you experienced this?

Allahu akbar 😭💔😢😢
This is the most horrifying thing I have ever seen. Islamists in Nigeria kidnapped young Christians, tying them up and torturing them, before beheading them while chanting "Allahu Akbar." Where is the outrage?
