...my brain hurts watching these 20smthngs on The Ultimatum. it's utterly horrific to me that our society leads ppl to put themselves & others into these completely unnecessary, lose-lose emotional scenarios where ppl literally hinge their lives or happiness on marriage/family--
and they're only fkin 20smthgs like- JUST LIVE YOUR LIFE goddamn. fkn societal narratives over bio clocks ticking, timelines for relationship or homeowner status- to the point such pressures get played out by kids w dolls & adults go on shows torturing themselves over it URGGHH..
...soo, i watched the film "Straight Up" on Netflix today and while i 100% recommend watching it, i also feel like... i need to rewatch it? it's refreshing to see a film that makes me want to rewatch it immediately after having watched it for any number of reasons tbh.
