i’ve had this blurb from Ask Polly taped to every desk i’ve used for the last 10 years
My career advice is just do it. Make it. Say it. Bring it to life. Whatever it is. The crazier your idea, the bigger risk, but bigger reward. There are plenty of people who warn, even threaten, to keep you in control. The world is filled with the you shouldn't do that folks. They're not your audience, and the world is bigger than their echo chambers. You don't need their acceptance or permission. Just yours.

Thinking about the fact that Frey has given MPD absolutely no pushback for putting the city in a budget crisis. Instead he’s just happily cutting election and voter services as we go into one of the most important presidential elections in American history.
