RedStone × CantonNetwork Building the Privacy Standard for Institutional Finance Institutional finance is moving onchain. But one critical challenge remains: how can institutions share reliable market prices without exposing their private positions and transaction details? @redstone_defi is working to solve this through CAPS (Canton Access and Privacy Standard). On September 16 2026 the @CantonNetwork Development Fund unanimously approved @redstone_defi CAPS proposal. The grant represents 15.775 million Canton Coin with a baseline value of approximately $1.83 million. But the real significance goes beyond the funding. CAPS introduces a shared pricing framework where every participant can rely on the same official reference price while keeping their individual valuations and deal specific information private even from the data provider. Think about a simple example: @redstone_defi publishes a reference price of $100. Two banks use that same price for a repo transaction. After applying a 2% collateral discount their private valuation becomes $98. Both institutions work from the same reference point without exposing their negotiated terms or positions to @redstone_defi . This opens important possibilities for: ♦️Tokenized funds and NAV pricing ♦️Private market valuations ♦️Institutional lending and collateral ♦️Licensed premium market data The framework will be released under the Apache 2.0 open source license. Its development follows a 12 month plan across eight milestones with 50% of the grant tied to adoption milestones. The first implementations are being developed with Zenith EVM and Memora. For a network supporting 600+ institutions and over $9 trillion in tokenized real-world assets this kind of infrastructure could play an important role in connecting institutional finance with onchain markets. 🔴The bigger vision is clear: Reliable pricing should be shared and Institutional positions should remain private.
