Seeing as we're talking a lot about proper attribution this week, I want to send high praise to this video. If I got paid every time someone steals images or footage from our social media sites or the movie itself, I would be sitting in the shade of an umbrella on a beach, while sipping fine wines and nibbling on exotic cheeses and meats, in Italy. (Sadly I never get invited to Lucca Comics and Games.) All we ask for is a citation. Most of our images are already tagged so you can use them as is. Is The Age of the Wolf an actual work by Dave Arneson or even a Blackmoor setting? The Arneson Estate believes it to be a fake. For some time efforts have been made to work with Studio Ink Bat in order to determine if the game book is a work by Arneson, or something the Estate would be willing to grant license to. A lot of old gamers have always said WOTC D&D is not D&D. Not surprised to see an old guard designer/gamer say this: "They are jealous imitators, whose personal perception of their lack ability is underscored by the fact they felt the need to trade under a historic brand name they did not create, and that in fact has no legitimate creative connection with the alternate game systems they chose to design," IMHO 5e attempted to go back to a simpler and more traditional system, except it was video-gamed. Interesting letter, I wonder who wrote it. #DnD

Support Emperor's Choice If you want to expand your Old School Campaign here is something worth checking out. I am very biased in favor of Arduin Grimoire. It appeared out of nowhere in 1977 and someone in my game group always seemed to have a copy of at least one book floating around. The guys at Emperors Choice have been working for over two decades to preserve and promote the works of David Hargrave so they wouldn't end up in the trash heap like so many other original drafts of classic games. Arduin is a fascinating world setting as the main setting has gates linking it to other realms and even dimensions. Thus it is open to characters of any kind in a game session. Some feel that D&D stole the Artificer class from Arduin and a whole lot more. It is also fully OD&D compliant as a variant, and thus easily adapted to anything else. Even if you can't get the maps from the new KickStarter, throw them five bucks so they can keep up the wonderful job of archiving and preserving this master work world setting.
