The Infamous Jat Shadow

The 4th Quarter “Scavenger Hunt” will be a special event involving Go Wild Area Mexico City 2026! Only those Trainers that are attending or live in Mexico City will be able to participate. Just like the 2nd Quarter Scavenger Hunt in Chicago, this one will be more like a traditional scavenger hunt. Here are the details: The event will start on Friday (6 Oct 26). The event will cover each day of Go Wild Area Mexico City. Starting on that Friday, I will post all three riddles in the form of an individual “Quatrain” whose solution or answer will point you to a specific Mexico City landmark that has a Pokéstop or Gym associated with it. I carefully selected these stops to give you a great view of the city or provide a unique selfie opportunity (y’all know I love selfies)! Once you solve the riddle, locate the landmark (Pokéstop/gym), spin it and collect the postcard then keep it in your gifts inventory. Unlike Chicago, I will post ALL THREE clues on Friday. There are three total riddles that you will have to solve and collect. It is IMPORTANT that you DO NOT post your answers as a reply to the riddle tweet…if you do, you could help your competitors beat you to the prize! Finishing up on Sunday (8 Oct 26), I will post where I will be for the day. Those who think they have solved each riddle and have the postcards from the landmark’s Pokéstops/Gyms will have to come find me and show me each postcard in their inventory. The first two people to do this will win the scavenger hunt (just like actual hunts). I will also have DeltiologyGo postcards from GoFest Paris 2025, GoFest Chicago 2026, and GoWild Area Mexico City to hand out! What will you win? This will be a custom jersey awarding event! It will look like one of the jerseys below (sorry, I don’t have a Valor example).

Below are your “clues”, good luck! Clue 1: “She draws her bow toward the northern fire, bronze body taut above the circling spray; no quarry walks the earth that she desires— her arrow seeks the stars, and will not stray.” Clue 2: “Upon a base of ancient stone he stands, The last great lord in bronze and plume; A spear is gripped within his hands, Defying conquest’s final doom.” Clue 3: “Two planes of quartz climb slender through the air, A steel-bound memory of what was won. When night descends the crystal starts to flare, A quiet beacon under moon and sun.” Remember, I’ll announce where I will be on Sunday…potential winners will have to show me the correct stops postcards in their gift inventory. The first two people with the correct postcards win jerseys!
