The Offseason Project - Summary (long read) Right before EMEA Masters started, I got this idea in my mind, to bring together a group of players, who wanted to do something with their offseason and stay active throughout. That's how we ended up with the roster of: 🇦🇹 Vertigo (and later 🇩🇪 Shelfmade due to Max's KR trip) 🇳🇱 Markoon 🇱🇹 Toffe 🇷🇴 Hazel 🇳🇱 Seal All under the supervision of 🇵🇱 @Vil_euw whom I consider to be one of the most capable coaches in ERL's and who was immediately on board when he heard the idea, true grinder. Always watching vods to expand his already impressive amount of knowledge. A roster handpicked without any tryouts, any interviews, just based on gut feeling as to what personalities would fit. As it turns out, it worked way better than any of us realistically expected. The guys pretty much clicked immediately. On a human level we found 5 people with genuine love for the game, who just wanted to play and grind. From day one, they dod convincingly beat play-off EMEA Masters teams as a complete mix, with no pre-existing synergy, no preparation, nothing, just vibes and a common goal: To cause some upsets and have fun while doing it. So far, 9 scrim blocks played, 8 won. with a 74% map winrate against the best ERL has to offer. The boys will keep playing as long as they want, so the project is not yet finished, albeit it gets a bit trickier to have everyone available the further we go into the offseason. Since plenty of the boys still haven't secured teams for the next season, here are some genuine thoughts I managed to form over the past month. Will skip my boys, because as their agent I am in a way biased, but yeah. Much love @ShelfmadeLoL @rassi_max @MarkoonLoL, you all know :) @Toffe_lol - Honestly, a dream to work with for any coach. It's rare you see a player this hungry to improve 24/7. He would scrim every single day if we asked him to. Absolutely amazing work ethic, active in reviews, vocal in game and frankly the perfect teammate. The amount of effort and energy he brings in every time is a big reason as to why the team gelled so well. Don't let his bad year in LFL distract you from the fact that he's barely 20, has 3 accounts in high challenger & grinding more - the amount of drive and passion in this guy is something really special. @hazel1euw - Absolute monster of a player, not much more to say. 18 years old, but plays like a veteran, both in terms of pure mechanics, but also comms and attitude. Always goes forward, never doubts himself, even against the best. KC got themselves an absolute gem that will make them proud. LEC in 2027. @DealerSeal - Extremely hard-working and dedicated. I've seen Seal go out of his way several times to spend extra time reviewing the scrim blocks along with Vil, always asking questions and looking for ways to become better. Very reflective and aware of his strengths. Always full of positive energy too. Honorable mention to @Slayerloll9, who played some blocks with the boys when others weren't available. Incredibly talented and quite possibly the funniest human being I have met in esports, absolute goat. Out of 7 players and 1 coach involved in this little project, only 2 are currently settled with a team, which makes me feel like EU scouting needs ALOT of improvement. We do have plenty of talented players in Europe, you just need to give them the right environment to blossom :)
