Probably my most extreme position is we should give $0 to Africans. We have been sending them aid my entire life, and all it does is create more Africans, who we then also need to feed.

Theory: Fast innovation in tech is always dominated by men. They are the tinkerers, the geeks, the dreamers. We are currently in a fast-developing space, and the vast majority of the people tinkering and playing with the tech are men. So men will end up dominating software again.

Elon has almost a 100% track record in doing things he sets out to do. Everyone who has ever invested money in him wins big, and Elon himself is a trillionaire because he's invested the most in Elon.
Not sure why Dems insist on picking a fight with him, but I thank them for it.
The thing to understand is this isn't just games - it's all forms of media.
- Most movies are woke trash
- Most books are woke trash
- Most music is woke trash
- Most news is woke trash
The game industry is just the most extreme scenario - it mostly appeals to straight white men. But the same sickness is ailing other media, which can limp on along because "the chuds" are a smaller (but still significant) fraction of customers.

They proceeded to take a franchise consisting of politically incorrect, male power-fantasy games... games that overwhelmingly appealed to and were made for straight men... and twist/contort said franchise into a weird, insufferable gender non-conformist trauma fantasy layered with not so thinly veiled propaganda.

I think many of us working in tech tend to forget that the reason software engineering vs other engineering fields pays (a lot!) more, is a lot more flexible (WFH/remote), and has better perks:
Because this field changes much faster than other engineering fields. The premium is because fewer people are able/willing to pick up new technologies, methodologies so quickly.
But the field had ~10-20 years of stability, and so lots of folks forgot this is why a premium exists. And that AI is just another tech wave: software engineers who pick it up and master it will generally fare better; those not will struggle a lot more.
He is mostly a pathetic clown, but I will have to say that I trust Harry Sisson's expertise in identifying political operatives who pretend to be heterosexual but are obviously, painfully gay

Apple has done this for every transformative tech R&D cycle.
They sit out the first mover phase, observe what actually works, then build a product that drives the tech to normies.
Now...who knows if this is still a thing in 2026 but this has been a clear pattern for 30 years.

In 1994, software was dead. People told me programming was for nerds and that I should become a doctor or a lawyer instead.
In 2004, software was dead. People told me that someone from India would take my job for $5/hour.
In 2014, software was dead. People told me that no-code was going to kill every job and doom my career.
In 2024, software was dead with Devin, Windsurf, Copilot, and OpenAI o1.
We kill software every 10 years, and yet the demand for good Software Engineers has never been higher.
