we will need to rebuild and rewrite much of software to adapt to a new, faster pace.
code used to arrive one drop at a time. soon, if not already, code will be written as if it were a continuous stream, like a violent river twisting and turning as it pleases.
this is not a new thing: big tech cos have had to deal with this with the enormous scale of their engineering teams. but now ai has brought an incredibly elastic and capable workforce wielded by every engineer. this is your problem now, and the only way to adapt is to evolve your systems so agents - even and especially the ones with little context about the right way of doing things - can thrive. make the easy thing the right thing.
your codebase is becoming organic architecture. agent contributions grow around the constraints and guardrails you’ve designed. good software engineering matters even more now! and no, the continuous stream of code is not something you have to watch helplessly. be more ambitious and design systems, frameworks, and languages to control the chaos.
the time for mourning coding is long over

New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control.
In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale.
Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…

🚨 Poland says Tesla FSD has never been tested on Polish roads (not entirely true, but ok).
I asked for all FSD records from 1 Jan 2025 onward, yet the Ministry only sent me two Tesla emails, dated 2 and 21 Sept 2026, even though it admits Tesla had been contacting them for months and held an official FSD meeting in July.
So what’s in the missing emails? Did Tesla ask to test and validate FSD in Poland and get blocked or refused? Is that why Poland looks the way it does on Tesla’s validation map? (see comments)
The Ministry says some material may be “confidential” - fine, redact the sensitive parts and release the rest. The non-confidential emails, attachments and meeting records shouldn’t just disappear.

Szanowny Panie Ministrze @Mi_GOV_PL @DariuszKlimczak,

The Shopify CEO just endorsed an agent built by one developer in Austria over every funded AI coding tool on the market.
Pi has four tools. Read, Write, Edit, Bash. No MCP. No sub-agents. No plan mode. The shortest system prompt of any known agent harness.
OpenClaw, the agent that hit 145,000 GitHub stars and 21,000 live deployments in a single month, runs on Pi. Armin Ronacher, who built Flask and basically shaped Python web development, ported his entire workflow to it.
The kicker is what Tobi actually did with it. He told Pi to spawn Claude Code in a tmux session, reverse-engineer its tasks system, and rebuild it from scratch. Pi pulled it off, including the UX.
This is an agent studying another agent's product and shipping a clone in one session.
$400M+ in VC funding has gone into agent frameworks. Pi is beating them with four system calls and a package manager. When the CEO of a $100B company says "dawn of malleable software," the trade is to watch what Shopify builds next, because they just told you the architecture.
Pi is the most interesting agent harness.
Tiny core, able to write plugins for itself as you use it. It RLs itself into the agent you want.
I was missing cc’s tasks system and told it to spawn clause in tmux and interrogate it about it and make an implementation for itself. It nailed it, including the UX.
Clawdbot is based on it and now it makes sense why it feels so magical. Dawn of the age of malleable software.

Meta will *not* release the multimodal versions of its AI products and models in the EU because of an unpredictable regulatory environment.
This means that EU users of Ray-Ban Meta won't be able to use the image understanding features.
It also means that the EU industry will not have access to future multimodal versions of Llama-3.
