Excellent piece. The world is complicated and doesn't always fit into the neat boxes we'd prefer. A great line: "I'm glad the Arabs are moving to bribing Jews instead of killing them; that's progress." 😂 Yup. Progress is slow and messy. But in the long-term it's a good thing.
Being an adult often means choosing between two horrible options, like the food on United.

So this deal finally got announced legaltechnology.com/2026/02/… Here's why it matters. Service provider buying AI company probably means we're not talking about huge dollar sign on the sale (even though they had investors). Smart for Haystack to infuse AI into its service and smart for EdiscoveryAI folks to take the money while they can get it. But, ultimately, this is what happens to the startups trying to go directly at Relativity directly. RelAir and the other bolt-ons are good enough that anything that has pricing that's not jawdroppingly lower or a product that's not MUCH better is not going to move the needle. All you get is Clubhouse getting drubbed by Twitter spaces. Despite all the traction of the contract review tools (to the point where CLM is hanging on for dear life) and the much ballyhooed demise of SaaS systems of record/data no one has yet been able to go directly at Relativity. What's it going to take? Here are a couple of options: 1. traction downstream with an entirely new buyer (like @SpellbookLegal for trial lawyers) Blue Ocean Strategies style Big Bertha for amateur golfers 2. Complete reimagination of the discovery process There are teams credibly working on both, let's see how this plays out.
I'm hearing that a small but interesting M&A deal in the ediscovery space will be announced quite soon. #AIforlegal

Man have times changed… listening to Springsteen in 78 talking about his 69 Chevy. No one today is writing songs about their 2012 Toyota…

🧵Critical Thread. Close review of Gaza casualty figures reported by UN OCHA based on daily Hamas “Ministry of Health” numbers proves they are FALSIFIED. Women & children are grossly inflated. This is easily proven but media ignores. See detailed expose below: 1/

I think some people really need to dig in and understand what the legal concept of proportionality actually means

It states that in the conduct of military operations, parties to a conflict must ensure that the use of force is not excessive in relation to the legitimate military objective to be achieved.

In other words, the harm caused to civilians and civilian objects must not be disproportionate to the military advantage gained. This principle is aimed at minimizing civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure during armed conflicts.
