you have to be exxceptional, or at least, try super hard to. you can't win being mediocre. sorry, bro. you can't be "a good boy" in all areas of your life. this is the risk everyone's speaking about. pick one thing and make a bet. then repeat it 20x times after losing.

god loves you. that's why he gave you the freedom to pick work you hate, bury your talents, and spend your whole life gloomy, living someone else's. freedom means you're in charge. you answer to yourself. so choose things/activities/goals you'll be proud of.

life can not be brute-forced. you can not pick all the options. and this is beautiful. the choice you make every second cuts out enormous amount of universes you will never be able to live in. you make your choices every moment. and your choices literally make a new you.

honestly curious what a dostoevsky substack subscription would go for.

u need to join deep-thinking/acc. i know u got used to claude/chatgpt thinking for u. but u really need to obsess over deep literature, listen to lesser-known podcasts, dig up long-forgotten articles and (!) take notes. there are no f shortcuts. deep thinking is anti-shortcut. the whole point is to go beyond ur base level & frictionmaxx as much as possible.

i played these pc games as a teen. this phrase taught me everything.
If nothing in your business makes you doubt yourself, you’re not playing big enough.

just realized: consciousness is a very limited gatekeeper, so future learning & communication tech must operate on a sub-/un-conscious level.

i've tested being disciplined & i've tested being a lazy mf. i recommend being obsessed & forget about will power.

whenever you think you're not good enough, it's true. that's what dreams are for. to make you grow. they require a new personality from you. not better willpower, not better focus, not better skills. they actually need it all at once.

as a writer you have one duty really: noticing. and it’s not about best-performing ideas, articulation techniques or fancy tools like eden. you need to notice when you’re most alive, which activities bring you the most ideas, when those ideas go deepest, and when you want to grind like never before. then repeat the exercise, but this time for the counter-effective stuff that makes you dull, low energy, full of self-doubt. amplify things from the first list and kill things from the second.

we're entering true polymath era: big writers turn app builders, big app builders turn writers.

YOU'RE HERE BECAUSE OF YESTERDAY YOU. thank him this morning. he showed up, stayed curious, learned new concepts, was present, got bored and stayed there for a moment, loved himself enough to rest when needed, and wanted his goal enough to work when scrolling was one move away.

the new prophet will come and deliver the truth via "it's not X, it's Y" shape. and ppl will just call him an ai slopper and ban him from every social. and only after a few decades someone will start a cult cause he was damn right and precise.

stop living in potential-saving mode. you need to walk in full stride & bloom every day. now, you save your best ideas & moves, pretending you can meet your future self fully weaponized, but in reality you must spend all your energy & brainpower (go all in) to convince that arrogant mf to even show up one day.

this shit will end eventually. you'll walk out of it either the guy who whined the whole time or the guy who hit his next level.

in ancient greece they learned math, astronomy, philosophy, music, rhetoric. what's the difference between them and us gooners? they had no alternative. you didn't get to call yourself human if you hadn't done the reading. we hand out dignity by default. we got a fake choice, so-called freedom. we got freedom before we learned what dignity is worth.

helping you to discover this hidden gem.
Most people wait until they have absolute clarity before they take the first step Which is exactly why so few do it This feedback loop creates a decision framework that makes the right choice obvious every time It runs in the background, you just have to be aware of it 🧵
