All these years the BJP controlled the narrative through mainstream media and WhatsApp.
But Instagram is a different battlefield. Gen Z has used it to question, mock and challenge political propaganda in ways that are far harder to control. And now Gen Alpha is coming of age online.
Restrictions on minors may sound reasonable on paper in the name of online safety. But it is fair to ask whether there is another motive too: stopping Gen Alpha from doing what Gen Z did. Even 15 and 16-year-olds are openly mocking the Prime Minister and those in power.
If the Centre is genuinely concerned about young people online, it should focus on making the internet safer for them. Start by cracking down on accounts that harass and abuse girls online, not by silencing an entire generation.

🚨#Important: Several petitions are now being filed in the High Courts and the Supreme Court “against” the actions of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
But we must not forget what happened the last time citizens knocked on the doors of the judiciary. The Supreme Court ENSURED that the SIR happened in Bengal in whatever manner barely months before the election. When the consequences of mass voters deletions became impossible to ignore, Justice Joymalya Bagchi in that bench made an extraordinary observation that those unable to vote “this time” could vote “next time”.
Who is to tell him that there is no “next time” for a possibly stolen election?
So because the courts are constitutional institutions, let them hear these new petitions against Gyanesh as many times as they want. Let them pass whatever orders they want to. But our democratic demand for Gyanesh Kumar’s accountability will NOT BE outsourced to the courtrooms.
The people will decide.
Because ultimately, neither an Election Commissioner nor a judge owns Indian democracy. We, the People, do.

Are you aware that voters are being bracketed into ‘general’ and ‘VIP’ voters in the Delhi SIR?
Our investigation cracked the BLOApp’s code to find that ECI has switched on a feature called “Mark VIP” which treats VIPs differently than ordinary citizens.

Anish Ray, son of West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer Neelam Meena, has alleged that his mother misused her power to harass the family of his friend Lavika. Anish said his mother, with the help of BJP Minister Umesh Rai, sent goons and BJP workers to threaten his friend's family.

This is extremely serious and involves depriving Indian citizens of their constitutional rights, as well as withholding essential humanitarian benefits, from dialysis treatments to transplants. Political chicanery is bad enough, but inhumane conduct is unconscionable. @ECISVEEP owes an apology to the affected citizens and indeed to the nation. Resignation is a minimal demand; rescinding this disastrous software and undoing the harm it has caused is now indispensable.
After the sensational revelations in a leading national daily yesterday on the shocking manner in which the CEC has completely destroyed the integrity, credibility and competence of the Election Commission, there is another report this morning:
• The Goa CEO wrote to the ECI 8 times in 7 days for inclusion of valid voters deleted by the ECINet software. Goa’s Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) had confirmed these were valid voters. The emails were ignored and voters deleted.
• The whole SIR has been handed over to this ECINet software, leading to the disastrous phase 3 of SIR which has deleted or flagged 54% of voters in Delhi and nearly 12 Crore across all states.
• In an illegal and centralising move, EROs’ access to the ECINet software was restricted. According to The Representation of the People Act, 1950, the ERO has statutory authority over the electoral roll. The 2 ECs wrote to the Cabinet Secretary flagging this violation.
• In another illegal move, the process to add new voters through Form 6 has been made more difficult. Gen Z is being targeted for exclusion.
Each new piece of evidence further confirms what the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has been saying for almost two years ever since the Haryana and Maharashtra assembly election results were out. The election process has been thorougly compromised and vitiated. This is Gyanesh Kumar implementing the Method of Disenfranchising Indians (MODI). As a first step the CEC Gyanesh Kumar must resign immediately if he has any shred of decency and morality left in him. The PM and the HM will thereafter will be held accountable for their diabolical designs.

A man driving a Scorpio didn’t stop at the Firozabad toll plaza, smashed through the barrier at full speed and crossed without paying 😳
These chhapris think they look cool doing this, driving ₹15 lakh car but can’t even pay ₹100. Yeh toh aukaat hai inki 🤡
And then they proudly posting it on social media as if it’s some achievement.
People like this need good treatment from the police then only they will learn.

My appeal to all members of the Digital Publishers Association of India (Digipub): Please highlight the tremendous injustice being done by courts in Gujarat to my colleague, coauthor, collaborator and friend Ravi Nair who has been in jail since Thursday. As his advocate Abhik Chimni told the High Court of Gujarat, Ravi doesn’t deserve to be in jail for even a single minute. Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, his bail application will not be heard before coming Wednesday. This is shocking and shameful. How can a non-bailable warrant be issued without prior notice or the issuance of a bailable warrant. All this is happening at the behest of one of the richest men in the world who happens to be a close friend of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he is oligarch Gautam Adani. Please examine all the facts and speak up for a fellow journalist who has been unfairly imprisoned. Paranjoy Guha Thakurta

This is why no one in Uttar Pradesh dares to question the government.
Look what they did to the one journalist who dared to ask questions.
Journalism is not a crime!
This is the same woman who questioned Yogi.
Just two hours after asking her question, she was reportedly fired from her job. Then, some BJP leaders allegedly threatened her, saying a bulldozer would be sent to her home.
And now, BJP supporters are abusing her and attacking her character simply because she dared to question the government.
Think about it: her only “mistake” was asking a question to an elected Chief Minister — in a country that claims to be the world’s largest democracy.
It is genuinely heartbreaking to see how far we have come. There was a time when even the Prime Minister regularly faced the press and answered tough questions. Today, simply asking a question can make you a target.
Shame.
