It's not guilt it's whitewashing by BC Cons. Japanese Canadians were disappeared through forcible uprooting, dispossession, incarceration & exile 1942-9. “Uplifting” would erase JC history, no truth for Indigenous ppl, forget Komagata Maru. No learning to stop injustice & hate

The #covidinquiry was back up and running this week and quickly into what some people think is one of the biggest scientific or policy mistakes (or 'misunderstandings' depending on your POV) of the whole pandemic. And it's all to do with how Covid is spread in the first place. 🧵

This year, we have plenty of N95 masks and RATs on hand, and we’re committed to getting them to our requesters. 😷 If you’re able, please consider a donation - every $18 allows us to send one package of masks and tests to someone who needs them. 💙

Society has moved on, but COVID hasn't gone away. Those high risk & with other medical conditions have been left behind and told that they are expendable.
Take action by caring for your community, voting, advocating for healthcare and better ventilation systems. 8/8

ALT What else can we all do to help? Society has moved on, but COVID hasn't gone away. Those high risk and with other medical conditions have been left behind and told in words and actions that they are expendable. This is an issue all the time, but particularly in a surge. We can change this by taking action to change the culture to protect all of us better. These include the steps mentioned on slide 3. In addition you can: • Vote for politicians who support investment into research, public health and support paid sick and family leave. • Advocate for accessible and affordable health care. Including masks, tests and vaccines. • Advocate and invest in better air ventilation systems to make indoor spaces safer for all.

Dianna decided to shave her head to make it easier on herself for her journey with #LongCovid and #MECFS. Many people struggling with this disease choose to do this if bed-bound for extended periods of time, like Dianna has been.
Hopefully she can avoid crashes, and reduce the amount of energy it takes to wash and maintain her hair every week. Millions of people are suffering from this disease.
