The credentialed class is looking at de-globalization as a catastrophe not as the most amazing opportunity in a century. If I was a young man, I'd be building in the Texas Triangle or in Mexico buying every industrial space I could near the border. Generational wealth will be created.
A behavior I notice about younger people in the late 20's, early 30's range: When you empower them and they want to take responsibility, they still want a safety net. Provide it but, make it narrow.
Small businesses reading about AI cost savings at big companies: that's not your problem yet. Your problem is nobody knows which AI tools staff are already using with client data. Find that out first.
The B200's cost what? $1.9 million. Life expectancy about 3-5 years? question is will the open weight models keep up.
BREAKING: Revolut moved ~2,000 engineers onto self-hosted GLM for coding and pushed Claude Code and Codex to the exception list.
Per David Abitbol, who leads AI ops there: 56 Nvidia B200s, a blended 30 cents per million tokens, roughly a tenth of what they paid Anthropic and OpenAI. Engineering lead time improved 70%.
Here's the part that matters: the gains showed up when tokens stopped being rationed. Engineers quit saving AI for the hard tickets and pointed it at everything.
Frontier models become the exception, open weights become the default. That's a pricing problem for every lab heading to IPO.

Would you move your team off frontier APIs if the bill dropped 90%?
Moving a small business to AI: pick the most boring task you repeat every week. Quote replies, invoice follow-ups, whatever. Do just that one for a month. Then decide what's next
I use Claude, GrokBot and Perplexity at different paid levels. I don't really know how much usage I bought, how much usage any given task will take or when a task may or may not hit a daily, weekly or monthly limit.
Listened to the All in Podcast from the past 2 weeks. I have to agree with them and wonder why the crazy sell off in tech. I keep thinking it is a really good time to buy Tech etf's.
I'm also starting to think that Microsoft CoPilot is the sleeper in this race.

Samsung's old SATA 870 EVO 1TB costs more on Amazon right now than the faster 990 Pro. About $315 to $335 vs $260. Quoting storage upgrades for clients is getting exciting.
Take advantage of AI stock pull backs. AI isn't going anywhere and is getting ready to grow. Enterprises are just regrouping to figure out how best to use it.
There just isn't enough compute or energy when the world goes all in.
WordPress admins: watch for a fake Cloudflare verify page. If you're logged into wp-admin in the same browser, it installs its own plugin. Backdoor, no password needed. Do your admin work in a separate browser profile. Boring fix, works.
Outlook Classic: Ctrl+Delete isn't delete, it's Ignore Conversation. Took me 45 minutes and PowerShell to find out why a client's email kept disappearing. lol
Offboarding is where small business security falls apart. I keep finding former employees whose accounts still work. Nobody owns the checklist.
Just helped with a cyber insurance app. It's most SMBs' only security audit. If you answer every question honestly and fix what you can't check off, you'll be in better shape than most.
I'd be willing to bet that most business users with AI access are using it to fill in gaps that their corporate systems don't fill.
Most AI features vendors add to the tools I use are useless. I export the reports and feed them to my own tools instead. Vendors will figure that out eventually.
I made a shared notes folder so Claude and Grok could coordinate on one dashboard. They're now blaming each other in the notes. I may have started the human extinction event.
