Ten years ago, my life changed forever when I received the Milken Educator Award! As I reflect on the past decade, my heart is filled with gratitude for the journey, the growth, and the countless blessings along the way. @Milken @NIETteach @Milken
So true….. it’s amazing how many people leave, thinking the grass is greener, just to come back less than a year later.
Great day in Columbia with 14 fellow SC charter leaders in the founding cohort of @SCCharterSchool's SC CharterLEADS. So glad Dr. Tom Miller of @LBLeaders, author of 10 Indicators of High-Performing Charter Schools, is leading our group! #CharterSchools
Thanks @SCPCSD for a great lunch and learn about SROs and funding. It was great seeing that @YCSO_SC, our school’s LEA, was there. #schoolsafety
Thank you @CSUNIV food services department for a great dinner to kick off parents’ weekend! Looking forward to spending the next 36 hours on campus.
Some days remind you why this work matters — and some days remind you how heavy it can be. Leading a school means carrying the joyful moments and the hard ones, often in the same breath.
Grateful for a community that shows up for each other when it matters most. 💙🖤
So proud of our school.
Art History students took a step back in time! Using only natural materials, they created cave paintings, made paint from food powders, and crafted brushes from items found outside. History comes alive through hands-on learning! #RiverwalkAcademy #PBL #ArtHistory #RiverwalkLions
835 students. Fully staffed. One incredible team. @RiverwalkLions is off to a strong start for 2026-27. 🦁 #PrideInEveryStep
Honored to have my latest op-ed published in @postandcourier. As we reflect on the ideals that shaped our nation, I explore how those same principles continue to inspire South Carolina’s public charter schools and the opportunities they create for students and families.
