I’m absolutely shocked but delighted to confirm I got an MBE in the New Years Honours List. First thought was with mum and dad and wishing they could witness this. Very proud Teessider. Still can’t quite believe it. – at Stokesley, England
We’ve got men in tomorrow.
Proper men.
Electrical and gas boiler men.
All day.
I always make a fool of myself in these situations.
Magnificent review.
Thinking again of her many fans at the time .

Barack Obama decided to hit Pete Hegseth with the elbow from the top rope. Absolutely brutal takedown.
At the age of 66 I’ve not enjoyed watching a Boro team more than this.
Absolute alignment between the manager, the team and the fans.
Rioch like culturally.
Much needed reminder of wonderful Teessideness.

I’m a pensioner.
They’re not ‘going after’ us.
Ridiculous take.
I wish they were supporting the young more.
Why the hell are we going after pensioners who have worked hard, paid their taxes and National Insurance, and contributed to this country their entire lives?
Andy Burnham wants to weaken the pension triple lock from 2030, with the Government forecasting savings of £15 BILLION a year by the end of the 2030s.
Meanwhile, Britain spent £13 BILLION on foreign aid last year. We're still funding development work in India, a country with its own space programme.
Reform UK also estimates that £55 BILLION has been paid in welfare benefits to foreign nationals over four years. That's £13.75 BILLION a year.
And yet it's our pensioners who are being asked to make another sacrifice.
I grew up in Sunderland. I know what hard work looks like. I know the sacrifices ordinary working people have made, often for decades, in the belief that if they paid their way, this country would look after them in retirement.
They've kept our factories running, raised families, paid into the system and done everything this country asked of them.
And now Labour wants to change the rules.
Before Westminster comes knocking on pensioners' doors looking for another £15 billion, perhaps it should take a long, hard look at where the rest of our money is going.
Our pensioners have paid their dues. They've earned their retirement.
Keep your hands off their pensions.
