Never measure a company’s performance by its numbers. Measure it by the trust it commands.
Without trust, numbers will eventually fall. With trust, numbers will eventually follow.
Great point @manukumarjain. Ultimately trust will determine the extent of autonomy we give AI.
The smartest AI agent will not win. The most trusted one will.
Lately, I've been using 4-5 of the leading AI agents. However, I still haven't given a single one access to my primary email or my credit card or UPI. "What if it sends the wrong email? What if it makes the wrong transaction?"
I want my Agent to organise my travel, manage my bookings, handle everyday tasks. But it can not finish anything because I haven't given any access. So I end up supervising every step, and end up doing half the work myself.
An agent you have to supervise isn't an agent. It's a very smart intern you don't trust yet.
We delegate to people gradually. Small responsibility first. Authority expands as they prove themselves. Agents will probably earn trust the same way.
So the race isn't about benchmarks. It's about earning trust: Ask before anything important. Allow undo. Full audit and financial tracking!

The winner won't be the agent that can do the most. It will be the agent we gradually trust to share almost everything.
