In an alternate universe, Texas Tech at Cincinnati is the Brendan Sorsby Bowl. He's not playing but a lawsuit still looms.
More on that, and a question I posed to NFL Draft analysts: Where's Sorsby's stock in a year with college QB uncertainty?

A lot of smoke around the Ringer and Substack -- why are Ringer writers launching Substacks vs... writing for the Ringer?

Asked @PabloTorre his reaction to *that* ESPN story from before the Clippers punishments came down:
"They didnât ask for a comment, but once the story came out, I was informed that if you give us a comment, we will include it... it was disappointing that the comment I gave... was not included. The thing that was disappointing about that chapter was just that Iâd worked with all those people. I had respect for all of those people. And thereâs an opportunity to reach out to me, not that Iâm owed it, but perhaps that would have saved a lot of people some headaches... I can only bring a horse to water on that." @FOS

We have reached the stage at which well-financed interests are deploying scare tactics to pressure members of Congress to support deeply flawed college sports legislation.
First at FOS: College sports now has a dedicated Super PAC.
The College Sports United PAC was created to ensure the current version of the Protect College Sports Act passes the House without amendments.
