Sending out a big hug and lots of love to all the mothers out there today❤️ I’m personally in a period of rest & being very gentle with myself until my upcoming spinal surgery. EDS has caused the C1-C2 bones in my neck damage my spinal cord/brainstem. Everything else is on hold.

I miss doing the blog greatly but my body needs this break. As soon as I’m recovered enough I will be back to helping readers meet some great books! I don’t know when that will be (spinal cord injuries are slow at best to heal) but I’m determined to get back to regular blogging!

Know a soon-to-be big sister/brother? Looking for a new baby gift? I USED TO BE FAMOUS (Tara Luebbe/Becky Cattie/Joanne Lew-Vriethoff) addresses the inevitable shift in familial time/attention following with a delightful story that highlights future sibling fun to come! 💕

SUCH A GREAT RESOURCE! HOW THE US GOVERNMENT WORKS...and how it all comes together to make a nation (Syl Sobel) is comprehensive, concise, well organized, engaging & focused on the reader’s role as citizen. Awesome Resource Guide helps complete lesson planning 😄🇺🇸

An unexpectedly reluctant swimmer discovers the joy of swimming & splashing with friends in THE QUIET CROCODILE GOES TO THE BEACH (Natacha Andriamirado/Delphine Renon) My kids ❤️ Quiet Crocodile & his 24 creatively named & outfitted friends who also make for great counting fun!

Absolutely ADORE this charming book 😍 OTTO AND PIO (Marianne Dubuc) are an unlikely pair brought together by necessity & kept together by mutual affection. A sublime tale of how family is formed & love grows; beautifully illustrated & filled with humor, struggle, & triumph.

What a great opportunity!

I so LOVE this! 😍
