Hegseth's wife got paid by a consulting firm that works for a military contractor? I am sure that's just a coincidence.
SCOOP: Jennifer Hegseth, the wife of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and a former longtime Fox producer, last year was paid by the top Trump-connected DC consulting firm Watchtower Strategy that also did work on behalf of Lockheed Martin the same year (!). politico.com/newsletters/pla…

Democrats, Tuesday was historic and unforgettable. We took back America and defeated Trump. I urge you not to undermine that history making day by staying with Chuck Schumer & Hakeem Jeffries. The Democratic party needs new leadership to move forward toward a better tomorrow

THINK YOU CAN JUST ERASE YOUR MAGA PAST? THINK AGAIN. You can change the branding, scrub the social media posts, and pretend you were never part of MAGA. But here's the problem: THAT STENCH DOESN'T WASH OFF. You hitched your wagon to Trump, and history isn't going to let you pretend otherwise. The orange shadow follows you. 🍊

I don’t care how much they try to distance themselves from MAGA. They’ll never get the fucking stench of that orange pedophile off of them.

Partly true; the $67M is wrong. ✅ True: El-Sayed ran on "money out of politics," refused to back Schumer for leader, and said Schumer's system is "go talk to the money people and dole out their corporate money." He wanted Van Hollen instead. ❌ Wrong number: Schumer-aligned Senate Majority PAC spent ~$46M in Michigan ($12.6M for El-Sayed, $33.1M against Rogers) — not $67M. That figure matches the Republican pro-Rogers spending ($67.3M) or AIPAC's total ($67.2M). ❌ Wrong framing: Schumer backed Haley Stevens in the primary; SMP spent nothing for El-Sayed until after he won. And ~3/4 of it was attack ads on Rogers, not support for him.

He’s gonna lose the primary. He wins. He’s gonna lose the general. He wins. He’s gonna win only narrowly. He wins by 7. All the while, record levels of money spent against him; the president and media target him daily with racist abuse; and his former Dem rival endorses his GOP opponent. But apparently, he is an ‘under performer.’ 🤷🏽‍♂️

Trump is in office to solve Putin's problems, and so this makes perfect sense. Now that he has been dealt a blow at home watch for his "duties" to foreign autocrats to escalate. And watch carefully who will be appointed when the purges begin (many autocrats get into a rage a purge their cabinets and advisors when they have a setback or narcissistic injury.
This is bad. Sergio Gor (aka Sergei Gorokhovsky / Сергей Гороховский), who has been previously identified as a potential security risk, is now being considered for WH Chief of Staff or even Secretary of State!

Anyone seeking to understand the midterm’s lessons should start here: Democrats won by being populist economic fighters who were unafraid to call out the corrupt politicians and corporate interests who have rigged the system at the expense of everyone else.

Trump just lost the House and the Senate. He didn’t lose his appetite for applause. DEMOCRATS: DO SOMETHING WITH THAT. Medicare for All. A secure border and humane immigration reform. Marijuana legalization. Put real legislation on the table. Offer him a legacy bigger than another fucking building with his name on it. Call it TrumpCare. Let him hold the ceremony. Let him spend three hours telling everyone it was his idea. WHO GIVES A FUCK? The person rationing insulin needs insulin. The family terrified of a medical bill needs healthcare. The person carrying a criminal record for marijuana needs a future. They don’t need us to get the credit. We’ve won the House and Senate. Start building the bills and the votes NOW. Make him choose whether he wants to sign something historic or stand in the way. Maybe he refuses. Then make him own the refusal. But don’t surrender the next two years before we’ve even tried. We don’t get those years back. Neither do the people waiting for care.

It’s not a question of "getting even." It’s not even a question. It’s a duty. It’s the power and duty of Congress to provide oversight. To ensure that the executive branch is being operated in accordance with the Constitution and the laws that Congress has enacted on the people’s behalf. And to ensure that tax dollars are being spent in the interests of the people, and not for the benefit of the public servants who administer the accounts on the people’s behalf. This power and duty was exercised by Congress from the earliest moments of the Washington Administration. It has been forsaken by corrupt and craven Congresses of recent years. It is the new Congress's solemn obligation to resume performance of its duty to oversee the executive branch, and any leader who can’t commit to that obligation should stand aside.
Hakeem Jeffries on Morning Joe: The American people don't want us to get even. They want us to get things done on their behalf because life is way too expensive. We ran on affordability, we won on affordability, and now it's our job to govern on affordability.
