We manage about $500k/mo in ad spend now.
Running Facebook(meta) ads in these verticals:
- Newsletters (Finance, AI, Real Estate, religion, spirituality)
- Home services
- Other consumer services
I don't care tbh about win rate. that's a bad metric to judge success. there's only one metric that matters. lifetime profit.
Anyone hiring developers?
A killer full stack AI software engineer that just gets shit done and gets it done fast is available .
full stack, builds full scalable systems that actually work. around 3 years experience and honestly works like someone with way more.
Will automate all processes in your business and make you a lot more on software and speed and systems than what you paid him. Truly an asset

we backtested CTR and CPM on our meta ad sets to see if they tell you early which ones will win
300 new ad sets, every offer, last 90 days. looked at the first 2 days vs what happened after
short answer: not really lol
low CTR does mean fewer winners. but meta + our pause rules already starve those ad sets, so a CTR kill rule saved us basically nothing
high CPM? not a red flag at all. the high CPM ad sets actually had better ROAS haha. killing on CPM would’ve shut off a bunch of winners
cheap clicks don’t save a bad ad set either. we even tested giving them 2 more days if CPM was cheap and CTR was high. still lost money
what actually works is early ROAS
ROAS 1+ after 2 days → won 75% of the time
under 1 → about 10%
didn’t matter what the CTR or CPM was
There's just some trivial things claude won't do for "security sake" that grok will do easily with no questions asked. it's pretty annoying but it is what it is. bullish open weight models
grok bot is not there yet in terms of model quality and output. it's practical and useful, but not so much when it comes to in-depth quality work. probably just a matter of time when it gets there though. i really like calling on behalf of me feature though
Idk maybe i am not using grok bot to its full potential but i see it not as good at Claude for the most things.
I purposefully write with mistakes, lower case and improper/missed punctuation, so people don’t think it’s ai lol
Prompting is still very important. Tooks us tens of thousands of dollars tweaking prompts and processes to make ads as natural as possible
Most acquisitions are painful and don’t work out. Very few companies doing it right and it’s very painful when the business largely depends on people. In those cases chances of failure increase white a bit. Good processes and long term employee retention plans help tho
My richest friends are all playing the M&A game.
Mostly buying other businesses with their main biz's cash flow.
Or they sold their own business.
Such an incredible way to scale. Especially if you're sitting on lot of cash.
Yet 8/10 of the guys I speak with never even considered this.
They just keep trying to scale ads or launch things from 0.
Worth educating yourself in this and finding more options to deploy your capital.
My goal for 2027 at least.
Thanks @JensenHuang!
We're excited to be a part of @nvidia program
Everyone thought you’d work less with AI but the reality is we work a lot more… managing all these ai agents/chats and barely finding time to review and correct the output
Go through each of your Meta ads with the most volume over the last 7 days, and if you see the ad preview is showing the image of the Facebook page you're using (not the creative), it's likely it's been broken since yesterday 5 pm PST.
You'll need to set up a new ad from scratch
I have a feeling @muse works better for some and worse for others.
Maybe there are different features/levels not rolled out to everyone yet. if that's true, I'd rather not roll it out to everyone and limit access to power users only, had I been the product lead.
