Very happy to share my first article at @amconmag
Why all the great excommunications have been about foreign policy:

American conservatives are constantly bemoaning the decline of aesthetic standards and calling for a return to classical Roman architecture, but are now forced to defend the Cheesecake Factory. A constant tension between the Brooks Brothers patrician and the Kid Rock populist.
Dashing across 40 gates with a duffel bag full of books, clothes, and shoes and a backpack to catch a flight is quite the way to break in a new pair of boots

I think these things do nothing for legitimate Palestinian aspirations, but I'm not sure attacking soldiers on what is almost universally considered illegally occupied territory constitutes terrorism.
In a tragic end to a week marked by increasing discussion of settler violence, Israelis woke up to reports of another terrorist attack in Judea and Samaria. Early this morning, two gunmen pulled up near Judea Junction on Route 35, just outside Hebron, and opened fire on an IDF pillbox.
For more than 20 minutes, the junction was a firefight. A medic filmed himself shouting that the shooting hadn’t stopped and the wounded couldn’t be reached. Others took cover behind an armored ambulance. Five people were hurt, two of them critically.
Both attackers were killed as they tried to escape, and troops discovered a large stock of ammunition in their car. A far worse attack, said Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, had been averted.
The families whose Shabbat preparations turned into hospital vigils already know how this story ends: quietly. New York politician Brad Lander will not jump halfway across the world to escort Israelis to work and back. No delegation of diplomats will tour the junction or express outrage over constant Palestinian violence. Those families also are all too familiar with what Lander himself observed this week: “violence unfortunately is never far away.”
The reasoning for this blindness is simple, if morally bankrupt. Israeli presence in the area is seen as illegitimate, and so violence against Israelis is treated as justified, though such things are not said in polite society, merely implied. Never mind that men who intended to bypass the checkpoint are unlikely to be fussy about where the international community draws its borders. Ironically, that justification is the same logic that drives the nationalist violence those same voices are so fond of condemning.
If it was not entirely self-evident, I will state it clearly: You do not discourage violence by deciding whose lives are expendable.

A Democrat PAC is soaking my district with attack ads that target the GOP House challenger by focusing on opposition to war, tariffs, and inflation.
This is of course rich with irony, but I begrudgingly admire their hustle.
Don't forget to check out my article at @amconmag from last week on AI regulation as a Trojan horse

Weird that his company and staff will almost assuredly do well in all three hyperbolic scenarios
so Sam Altman apparently told OpenAI employees that there are possibly THREE endgames for AI safety:
1. an international nuclear-style watchdog
2. merge all major labs into a giant org
3. one company achieves RSI and gets so powerful it can literally “melt everyone else’s GPUs.”
and he called the 3rd option “terrible.”
crazy that we’re even at this point rn.

A BIG THANK YOU to our legendary friend, @ElonMusk, for his incredible generosity in giving SpaceX Stock to millions of American children through TRUMP ACCOUNTS! This is exactly what was envisioned when we created TRUMP ACCOUNTS — Bringing together the GREAT PRIVATE SECTOR, Elon and so many more, to invest in our children, by far our greatest and most important asset, and give every American Child a piece of the American Dream. Thank you Elon! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The Trump Administration may have reversed some of the policies implemented under Biden's military, but most never returned.
Some, like @CruzMarquis5, were put even into 'penal platoons.'
Read about it on the @DailyCaller.
