introducing prism, the world’s first speech-to-speech model you can’t tell from a human in conversation
prism has:
> 300ms response time, 4x faster than OpenAI GPT-Live
> outperforms every other s2s model on intelligence (with NO reasoning)
> the first s2s model customizable through reinforcement learning
we’re a team of 35 with $35M in funding, and we’re unlocking s2s model adoption faster than openai, google, and x.

Introducing SKY-001, the first Engineering World Model.
On CAD and BIM tasks, it beats GPT-6 Astra and every frontier model we tested:
-> 51-125x faster
- > 150-210x cheaper
-> Higher IOU than all frontier models
SKY-001 lets you dream a physical object before you build it.
18 months of work. Built by the team out of Maluuba's deep learning lab (acq. by @MSRResearch).
The first ‘AI General Engineer’ will be the backbone for Autonomous Manufacturing.

We built the first AI system to achieve the industry standard CAD certification for mechanical engineers.
Our agent autonomously built parts and assembled mechanisms, passing the SOLIDWORKS Professional exam in less than 3 hours.
Details below, including a concerning discovery.
SR007 Demo Day broke all records
80 companies pitched & demoed
2,000 IRL investors attended in-person
(10,000+ more online)
50+ launches in under 8 weeks (13 on Monday)
insane design, narrative, and brand work across the board.
Just an insane cohort.

Announcing $38M Seed & Series A from Sequoia, First Round, and Hummingbird.
Healthleap's mission is to improve the health outcomes of as many people as possible.
Results so far:
• faster healing resulting in 1.6 shorter hospital stays per patient flagged as at risk by HealthLeap (Penn)
• 39% more appropriate diagnoses, same staff (Cedars-Sinai)
• 3 → 50+ hospitals in the past year
We're hiring across all roles.

This Russian Anti-Plague Institute death may have been a bioweapon exposure. Many antibiotics work on plagues. Surely she would have been given them after the vial broke. So would the 200 contacts. This suggests a multi-drug resistant form not found in nature.

Huge congratulations to the @safeworldai team on their $12.2M seed round! Working with this team has been a highlight since we first partnered at pre-seed through a16z @speedrun.
As AI moves into the physical world, rigorous safety testing becomes essential to deploying robots around people. SafeWorld brings together deep expertise in autonomy, safety research, and engineering to build that foundation.
Excited to see this team help bring the next billion machines safely into the world.

As the capabilities of humanoids and other robots improve, the next bottleneck to deployment is ensuring they can operate safely and reliably around people.
@safeworldai is building the infrastructure that robot makers and operators need to deploy robots safely and at scale in the world's most complex environments.
The @safeworldai team is purpose-built for this challenge. @zhao__ding is a legend in autonomous vehicle safety, @kwong47 is a customer-obsessed product leader, and @Sim0Rachidi is a brilliant engineer.
We @shinecapital are thrilled to lead @safeworldai's $12M Seed round!
Today, I’m excited to introduce @safeworldai!
Our mission: improve robot safety for the next billion machines.
AI is moving from screens into the physical world. Robots are becoming more capable, more autonomous, and increasingly operating around people.
But more capable robots require more capable ways to test them. 🧵
as robots move into homes & workplaces, the surface area for safety mishaps is growing quickly. at @speedrun we believe safety infrastructure will be foundational for robotics, and were day 1 investors in Safeworld
founders @kwong47 @zhao__ding @Sim0Rachidi have built an incredible team spanning robotics, AI, simulation, & safety expertise. @emilybenn12 and I have been deeply impressed by their execution on one of the most important frontiers in physical AI
congrats @safeworldai on their $12m fundraise! and this team is also hiring - follow them below

SafeWorld is out of stealth with $12.2M in seed funding.
Intelligent robots take on far more general tasks and environments, so they need far more tests. We build the safety testing infrastructure for physical AI at scale.

🚨 BREAKING: Super excited to announce we're deploying the world's fastest inference with @Cerebras.
Talk to any developer and they're excited to build with 20x faster AI... the problem is there's almost no compute available.
We're here to solve that.
Using GPUs for prefill - it's now more affordable than ever too.
Thank you to the whole Cerebras team and excited to grow this partnership.

Dextr AI has emerged from stealth with $6.7M in seed funding to build agents that handle reservations, guest requests, staff coordination, and other hotel tasks.
Bootstrapped until now, Dextr says its agents now handle more than 1M interactions a month across hundreds of hotels. The startup’s customers range from 21-room properties to one with 550 rooms.
Elevation Capital led its raise, with participation from Foundation Capital. The round marks Dextr’s first institutional financing.
