The problem I have with Buddhism is that every old dharma teacher looks the same: powerful in mind and spirit, but frail in body. I want the embodied version of Buddhism—one that unites spiritual insight with AI, information theory, physics, biology, health/medicine, and evolution. These fields all point to the same truth: the body is an energy system. It's not meant to be still. It's meant to move, pulse, vibrate, and express. The old Buddhists are so unhealthy because in their quest to sit quietly with suffering they are trashing their bodies. Our bodies are energy systems, constantly in motion, literally vibrating all the way down. As soon as you get the insight of the mind from Buddhism, stop sitting and start moving.

"Attaining no-thinking, the disciple of the [Buddha] is endowed with *noble silence straightaway. As a mountain of rock is unmoving, firmly established, so a [contemplative], with the ending of delusion, like a mountain, doesn't quake." — Thag 14.1 *Interesting thing about the term "noble silence" throughout the suttas is its directly synonymous with the 2nd jhana. A lack of directed thought is a natural result of pure absorption in single-point meditations like anapanasati and satipatthana, both of which I've trained intensely in over the years and will be sharing some novel pointer for quickly jumping into when the proper foundations are established

next year I'll be hosting some dates in northern and southern california—specifically excited about mt. shasta as its where I've spent many many months on solo retreat honing the techniques we'll be practicing a great opportunity for my SF followers to take a road trip or short flight, get outside and practice alongside someone 18 years deep + well-versed in the suttas (rare combo)—link below ↓ sadhu 🪷

"As he sat there, the [Buddha] said to him, “Sāriputta, your faculties are clear—pure and bright is your complexion. In which [meditative] abiding do you often now dwell?” “...I often now abide in the dwelling of emptiness.” “Excellent, Sāriputta. Excellent. You often now abide in the dwelling of a great man, for this is the dwelling of a great man: emptiness." — MN 151

on rebirth: everything you think + say + do forms the next body you will inhabit. hell beings are tortured by disregard for themselves and others. hungry ghosts are hopelessly addicted without satisfaction. animals are mindlessly lead by their desire. asuras are lead by their power and anger. lower devas are preoccupied with the pleasure and ease of possessions to their eventual detriment. higher devas subsist on luminosity and rapture itself with a lack concern for possessions or ownership (sound familiar?) humans exist at the crossroad of potential for all of these. but those of us who awaken in this life transcend the material of "think + say + do" itself, completely halting the formation of another body altogether

concentration is like heating a pan until its red hot. thoughts about the past or future, ideas agreeable or disagreeable, are like drops of water falling onto that pan—instantly evaporating due to the state of the pan itself. its of no use to worry about the quality of the water, the temperature of the water drops, how far they fell from, etc. just get that pan as hot as possible

"Consciousness without feature, without end, luminous all around: Here water, earth, fire, & wind have no footing. Here long & short, coarse & fine, fair & foul, name & form are all brought to an end. With the cessation of [the activity of] consciousness, each is here brought to an end.'" — Kevatta Sutta DN 11

if I'm not meditating or studying I'm probably creating something...so earlier this year I became deeply interested in creating a new way to concisely communicate multiple core dhamma concepts at once, especially thru diagrams & symbols which lead me to make what I call saccamandalas (realitymaps lol) the first one is a combination of the three marks/four noble truths/twelve links & the second is the four frames/five aggregates/eightfold path...a simple way to transmit and memorize these core ideas visually...also added diagrams I made on the four frames/jhana relation and bahiya sutta—all live on the site for you to discover 🪷 looks best on desktop (with a few easter eggs)—link below ↓ 🪷 sadhu
