$ASTS: Here are my key takeaways from today's announcement. We'll learn more next week during ER and the press event. ➡️AST has secured multi-launch agreements covering over 100 BlueBird satellites expected to be deployed cumulatively in 2027–2028. AST will continue utilizing multiple third-party launch providers to support deployment of its growing commercial and government satellite constellations. ➡️AST is now part of the US Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) program, enabling qualifying rated US orders and contracts involving BlueBird satellites to the front of the line ahead of other commercial payloads launches. ➡️AST has entered into a $1.3B deal w/ FireFly to develop its own reusable heavy lift vehicle, BlackLift, with initial launches in late 2028 as part of a strategy to vertically integrate capability, derisk deployment and reduce costs. BlackLift will be purpose built to to deliver 5x Block-2 satellites to LEO. With significant global government and MNO demand for multiple constellations, this was the next logical step to 1) reduce the biggest ongoing cost and 2) create another dependable launch option. ➡️ This strategic move is an acknowledgement of the growing addressable market beyond direct-to-device connectivity, including US government radar, secure communications, emergency services, IoT, AI edge computing, and additional funded networks All of which require multiple constellations and the ability to deliver them, via third party or internally, to space

My thoughts exactly. The rated program for launch access and calling it “black” instead of “blue” is the dead giveaway though $ASTS
Why not wait until Monday to present it? Do they have new and big announcements to present? 👀🚀 $ASTS

$ASTS 🚨AST is basically another Space X now literally! $254 a share. $100B it’s coming! The story has changed. The pivot was made. We have our launch partners and we’ll have our own rocket! Gov will rebate and give major tax benefits for creating launch for the US Gov’t and World Infrastructure. The shorts did everything Money well spent! LFG!!!! 🦾🇺🇸🚀

Wow wow. I was right. At the bottom of the PR: 🚨🚨. “The company also has access to further launches for U.S. Government missions alongside its Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rated program.”🚨🚨 This means very specific purchase orders were made by the USG. THEY ARE DEFINITELY ANNOUNCING MORE THINGS ON EARNINGS. This is new information. 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 $ASTS

AST SPACEMOBILE TO BUILD GOVERNMENT SATELLITES? 🤔 In the Blacklift press release, there was an important detail 👀 "The company also has access to further launches for U.S. Government missions alongside its Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rated program." It appears Government contracts could be coming soon and they might be large 🧇 $ASTS

$ASTS is reportedly making a $1.3B+ move to build its own heavy-lift rockets securing 36 engines from $FLY along with rights to manufacture them. That could mean 9 Miranda engines per booster and roughly 2.1M pounds of thrust, more than Firefly’s own Eclipse as AST looks to take control of its biggest bottleneck in getting BlueBirds to orbit.

$ASTS What if Wall Street eventually values AST as more than a satellite broadband company? 🇺🇸🚀 SpaceX shows the potential of combining launch capabilities with a satellite network. AST’s planned rocket introduces the possibility of owning more of that same chain from building BlueBirds to putting them in orbit. 🛰️🌎 If successful, greater control over launches could accelerate deployment, improve long-term economics and strengthen AST’s position for government missions. Potential R&D tax benefits and infrastructure funding could help reduce the cost of getting there. That could give investors reason to assign AST a higher valuation as a more integrated space business. Building a rocket doesn’t automatically earn a SpaceX valuation. But executing on launch AND global broadband could materially expand what this company is worth. The ambition just got a whole lot bigger. Don’t mess with Texas!🔥

$FLY 🤝 $ASTS Two bold Texas companies, Firefly and @AST_SpaceMobile, signed a deal valued at more than $1.3 billion. Firefly will deliver 36 rocket engines, offer engineering support, and provide a license to manufacture our Miranda and Vira engines for AST SpaceMobile's new heavy-lift rocket. This is a tremendous win-win for both companies: AST SpaceMobile will be able to launch their own satellites, while Firefly will rapidly scale testing and production of our existing launch vehicle lineup. fireflyspace.com/news/firefl…

51 sats. Most of them in various stages of production. $ASTS. Amazing progress considering 46 of them are 199m2 of phased arrays, each. Huge. Two acres worth of direct to cell phased arrays are now produced. And for the “now they just need to launch” guys out there. Well, yes exactly, and if that’s done this year on Falcon9s or next year on Falcon9 and New Glenn doesn’t really matter much. It’s coming either way.

Could be one of the best buying opportunities in years The VIX just jumped as much as 70% in a single day and a move that large has only happened 8 times since 1991 What happened to the S&P after the prior 8, on average: • 1 month later: +3.0% (7 of 8 times positive) • 3 months later: +7.1% (6 of 8 times positive) • 6 months later: +10.4% (8 of 8 times positive) • 1 year later: +14.7% (7 of 8 times positive) A move this extreme has only happened 8 times before today since 1991. What just happened? The Nasdaq 100 just posted its largest daily drop since the 2020 Pandemic, with the S&P 500 erasing -$3 trillion today. Just 24 hours ago, the Dow surged +1,600 points after the Democrats "swept" the Midterms. So, what changed? Let us explain. (a thread)

$ASTS If you've never felt actually nauseous looking at your portfolio....you've never been through a market correction. Just after the 2008 banking crisis that sank the market, we had lost over half of our net worth. Our company stock (Ticketmaster) had been crushed. Barry Diller had recently spun off several of the IAC companies after loading each with large amounts of debt and the market was treating each as if they would go bankrupt given the disruption in the banking system. I had almost no cash left. A friend of mine called and asked how I was doing. I felt nauseously numb. We talked about TM stock and he said, just be glad you're not at HSNI, which was one of Dillers spun out companies. A good friend of mine ran their C/S org. I took a look at the stock. It had been trading in the $11-$12 range. It was now at $1.62 and falling. I took my last $8K and bought the stock around March of 09 believing the market was overreacting and trying to catch the proverbial falling knife. By the end of 2009 when the market realized it wasn't the end of the world and not all stocks with debt were going bankrupt, the stock rerated and rocketed to $20/share (it would ultimately rise to over $50/share). I bailed in the $12 range having 7x'd my investment. During the crash the S&P 500 lost 47%, HSNI lost 86% at its low. By the end of the year, the S&P had recovered with a risk on return to finish down only 13%. HSNI underwent a massive short squeeze and ended the year up 92%. Over the next two years when the market rebounded, our portfolio went up 300% as we stayed fully invested. Not a prediction of the future, but the set up feels eerily similar for ASTS. The market has punished growth, AI and Space indiscriminately. Assuming the market is wrong, the re-rate will eventually come and when it does, it will briskly sweep these stocks back to more reasonable valuations. Stay strong brethren!!

Our new booster engine, Northstar, was built from the ground up by a scrappy team focused on weight, cost, manufacturability, and performance. More than 65% of the engine is additively manufactured using our in-house 3D printing capability. Northstar can be assembled in less than a day and produces 715,000 pounds of thrust.
