Did you get a medical degree or start drafting intersectional frameworks into UN health doctrines in the past few days?! If not, she is still not your peer.

A party that can look at a genocide and remain unmoved will hardly lose sleep over whether you have water in your tap.

The EFF has already surpassed its 2021 LGE ward tally. So much for a party being in decline

i think people underestimate the extent to which the EFF has an ideological base that exists beyond its leadership. they don’t necessarily support the movement bc they believe its current president is infallible. some people genuinely identify w its political programme, its positions on land and social rights. obviously, the party’s electoral decline is disappointing/shocking and there are various factors worth interrogating, but i don’t believe its supporters are simply going to abandon those convictions bc the party has fallen from grace. even a result between 3% and 5.6% means their vote wasn’t entirely lost. they’re contributing to keeping a political project they believe in represented, and i don’t think the EFF is going to fundamentally change its policies and ideological commitments simply to accommodate its downturn at the polls.

I seem to recall the EFF fighting against the VAT increase, pushing to end data expiry from telecommunications providers, tabling the Insourcing Bill, and tabling the Student Debt Cancellation Bill—all since the 2024 elections . Yet because they don't sing "abahambe," you claim they aren't prioritizing South Africans? Ehh
EFF is finding out in real time that South Africans want to be prioritised.

You would swear the EFF is the governing party. They way everyone wants them to fail. Meanwhile, the DA and ANC are cruising nicely, dodging accountability, and yet they are the governing parties. Crazy af.

The EFF remains the most de-campaigned party in the post-democratic era. In this cycle, the de-campaigning was vicious. If you get attacked by the DA, then the ANC, Dudula, PA, AfriForum, MKP, ActionSA, and March & March and still walk, be proud. The EFF will survive.

the fall how when they are winning wards and are on 96+ thousand votes right now? the black vote was just divided when MKP was started. This narrative that the EFF fell off is misleading
I would say the fall of the EFF needs a documentary but we were all there in real time.
