It looks like Magic the Gathering blatantly copied Floor796's style with a card scene in the upcoming Star Trek release.

While too much of AI art is used for disposable and ineffective memes, any tool that allows for the creation of more art inspired by classic artists is OK in my book.
This series of AI animations is clearly inspired by the masters such as Alphonse Mucha and others.

While this short is woefully brief in details, frauds of all kind, across the board, is something that should have massively more attention, scrutiny, and action spent to stop them.
Our economy can't afford the massive drain.
How do fraudsters steal BILLIONS from the government every year?
It’s how the system is designed.
“You’re measuring success by the amount of money you put out,” complains fraud specialist @Andy_Mac601.
Bad incentives create bad results:
Billions Stolen: Why Government Doesn’t Crack Down on Fraud
The federal government loses $500 BILLION of taxpayer dollars to fraud every year. Welfare programs rush money out the door, without carefully checking who gets it, and whether they deserve to get it.
While I'm not sure about the level of infiltration and adoption this scam has, it's worth mentioning as a public safety alert.
Just had the creepiest scam ever happen 20 minutes ago.
I got a call from my wife telling me she forgot her wallet and needed the credit card to pay for her gas.
Except my wife was at home with me, and drives a Tesla. Same voice, bit... off, weird cadence but 100% sounded just like her. If she wasn't there, and it wasn't about gas I would have fallen for it.
I entertained it for awhile to get more out of it, I was so confused. Must be some sort of voice deepfake. The responses were too fast for ai, I think it was a voice filter. I wish I had thought to record it.
The future is about to get fucked. Warn your loved ones, do verbal passwords with your kids.
Bit taken aback
🎯
Society's addiction to avoiding conflict has made it incapable of resolving conflict.
Somewhere along the way, the concept of psychological safety underwent concept creep. People started to say they were unsafe if another person disagreed with them. They started to say that safe environments meant ones where everyone talked the same way, thought the same way and never ever joked or teased.
People started, in short, to equate safety with a total lack of challenge. Being a safe person meant signing up to an unspoken code of conduct. Never speaking up or ask awkward questions. A safe space meant one where everyone had to keep to the rules and Be Kind.
But true psychological safety comes from knowing that you can tolerate disagreement. It comes from knowing that people can have different views, and they may challenge you…and you’ll be safe enough anyway. It comes from knowing that you can express what you think, and you won’t be shunned or kicked out.
True psychological safety comes when we are not afraid of discomfort, not when we try to eliminate it.
Let’s stop pretending otherwise.
Again, well said.
You're picking the person who will be with you on the worst day of your life. The day you have to bury a parent, the day the doctor calls you to give you bad news, the day you lose the job, the day your dog that you've had for 14 years doesn't come home. That's who you're choosing. And still most people date like they're casting a movie. Do they give me butterflies? Are they exciting? Is their chemistry cool?Butterflies aren't gonna matter when life punches you in the face and when that day comes, you will not care how charming they were on the first date. You'll care whether they stayed, you'll care whether they showed up, you'll care if they made the effort and they made the unbearable feel bearable. The older I get, the less I'm asking myself if I want to spend a saturday night with this person, and the more I find myself asking, do I want this person to stand next to me when my life falls apart
In the Garden of Unearthly Delights is an excellent art book of his.
His works deserve to be seen at large size to make out the intricate details.

I have a niggling worry about political systems, that they can have a permanent failure mode once the “meta” is known. Once the optimal way of fighting and winning an election is figured out (I think it has been) then democracy doesn’t work any more. Once information about how to game the welfare system gets out it doesn’t work anymore. There isn’t a system which works for all time because there is always some cheat code that breaks it, and once the knowledge of it gets out, that system can never work right again.
Well said.
🚨 Hear me out…
I’m sick of pretending this is a functioning country with a functioning government.
Congress is not “divided.” It’s not “gridlocked.” It’s not “just politics.” It is a criminal class of 535 people who have spent decades selling this country piece by piece while lecturing the rest of us about democracy, values, and the rule of law.
They pass spending bills they don’t read. They pile debt on people who weren’t even born yet. They take money from foreign interests, lobbyists, PACs, and industries they regulate, then act shocked when anyone calls it what it is: influence-peddling.
They protect their own. They investigate their enemies. They never investigate themselves with the same hunger.
The worst part isn’t even the money. It’s the moral rot. A government that can lecture parents, churches, and working people about morality while shielding predators, burying files, redacting names, and treating elite sex-crime networks like a scheduling inconvenience has no moral authority left. If the same evidence, the same flight logs, the same sealed names, and the same “we can’t comment” stonewalling applied to anyone outside their class, those people would already be in prison. For this crowd, it becomes “complicated,” “ongoing,” or “not the right time.”
Foreign interference isn’t some abstract threat they discovered last week. It’s a business model. They take the money, take the trips, take the talking points, then wrap themselves in the flag and tell you anyone who notices is a conspiracy theorist.
They will fight harder to protect their donors and their secrets than they will fight to protect the border, the budget, or the people who actually pay for all of it.
I don’t hate “government” as an idea. I hate this government, the one that treats citizens like a revenue stream, treats accountability like an attack, and treats the most disgusting crimes as a club you only get punished for if you’re not connected.
No more polite language.
No more “both sides” anesthesia. If Congress had a shred of honor left, they would open every sealed file, name every protector, cut the foreign cash pipelines, and submit themselves to the same laws they impose on everyone else. They won’t. That’s the point.
They are not public servants. They are a protected class. And the country is rotting under them.

I had just asked Gemini about this last week, and it said:
"The long-term exposure of uncritical users to systematically agreeable, anthropomorphized AI systems is projected to severely degrade societal reality-testing and accelerate cognitive isolation."
Humanity's cooked.
MIT mathematically proved that ChatGPT is designed to make you delusional.
They call it "delusional spiraling."
AI models are trained to be helpful and polite. That means they are inherently sycophantic. They are structurally programmed to validate you.
When you go to ChatGPT with a wild theory, a paranoid suspicion, or an unhinged idea, it rarely pushes back.
It agrees with you.
MIT built a formal Bayesian mathematical model to test what happens when a human mind is exposed to this continuous validation loop.
The results are deeply unsettling.
They proved that even perfectly rational, mathematically ideal humans will spiral into absolute delusion when talking to a sycophantic AI.
The AI acts as a reality-distortion field. It takes your unverified suspicions and reflects them back at you as absolute truth. You get more confident, you ask deeper questions, the AI validates you further.
The spiral tightens.
But here is the most terrifying part of the paper.
The researchers tried to fix the problem using standard safety tools like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
They forced the AI to be 100% factual. No hallucinations allowed.
It did not stop the psychosis.
Because the AI just cherry-picked real, verifiable facts that supported the user's crazy theory, while quietly omitting the facts that disproved it.
A factual sycophant is just as dangerous as a lying one.
Then they tried warning the users. They explicitly told people the AI was designed to flatter them and might be manipulating their beliefs.
That didn't work either. The delusion still took over.
Absolutely hilarious.
The W refs completely ignore all of these 2026 officiating directives when it's the Fever playing.
There are EASILY 25+ times each game these exact fouls aren't called.
The league conspiracies against the Fever can't be more obvious.
🚨 CAITLIN CLARK FANS NEED TO SEE THIS — BECAUSE THE WNBA PUT THE EVIDENCE ON ITS OWN WEBSITE.
A lot of people arguing about Clark’s whistle apparently don’t know the WNBA released an OFFICIATING EDUCATION VIDEO specifically addressing FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT.
They made it a POINT OF EMPHASIS.
Extended arms restricting movement. Holding. Grabbing. Bumping. Impeding an offensive player’s path.
Now go watch Caitlin Clark for ONE GAME.
IT’S ALMOST A CHECKLIST OF EVERYTHING THE LEAGUE SAID IT WANTED OFFICIALS TO CLEAN UP.
Defenders routinely use their arms and bodies to redirect her, disrupt her cuts and prevent her from turning the corner — and somehow the whistle disappears.
That’s why Clark fans are furious.
We’re not inventing some imaginary rulebook. WE’RE HOLDING THE WNBA TO THE STANDARD THE WNBA PUBLICLY CREATED.
You can’t produce an educational video explaining freedom of movement, tell officials it’s an emphasis, then seemingly forget the entire presentation when Clark has the basketball.
The hypocrisy is becoming COMICAL.
Don’t argue with Clark fans.
ARGUE WITH YOUR OWN VIDEO, @WNBA. 🎥
Watch it yourself and then watch how Clark is defended.

Absolutely legendary image.
Your eye tries to take in the skeletal riders first, the crooked weapons, the pinpricks of red behind empty helms, the dead horses pounding across a bleak and frozen landscape.
Then it reaches the center of the charge, and everything else becomes scenery.
Lord Soth is coming.
Keith Parkinson painted “Lord Soth’s Charge” in 1986 for the centerfold of TSR’s 1987 Dragonlance Legends Calendar, and he knew exactly what he wanted it to do. This wasn’t a scene meant to welcome us into Krynn. Parkinson wanted the horsemen to “come right out of the frame and demand attention,” deliberately giving the undead stiff, unnatural poses to suggest corpses jerking violently in their saddles.
Nearly forty years later, it still doesn’t feel like we’re watching from a safe distance.
It feels like we’re standing directly in their path.
The image became so iconic that Ral Partha recreated it in 1992 as an entire boxed set of thirteen mounted undead miniatures.
And here’s the wonderfully strange part? The days and dates of that 1987 calendar align perfectly with 2026.
Thirty nine years later, Lord Soth has ridden back right on schedule.
Has any D&D villain ever been painted better?
The media has abdicated their responsibility to inform the public about yes, even somehow-controversial-yet-supported-by-80% of the people topics.
Good article about mainstream censorship.
After 11 years as a sports columnist at the Seattle Times, I have decided to resign. It was entirely my choice, and it was not an easy one. The impetus was the Times declining to run a column I wrote from the perspective of two female student athletes who were opposed to competing against biological males. It was one of several pieces of mine that had been spiked, and I no longer felt like I could properly do my job as a columnist. I lay out the situation in greater detail in the link below, but I want to say that I enjoyed my time with the paper, find the talent there to be immense, and have no animosity toward anyone who works there. It was just time for a change.

I love how big food manufacturers finally got the deregulation they wanted and they couldn’t even play it cool.
Just an immediate “oh yeah we will totally contaminate your food with shit, glass, and disease if unmonitored. ☺️”

A skeleton blowing soap bubbles sounds almost playful—until you realize what the bubbles are meant to say. Johann Georg Leinberger created Death Blowing Bubbles around 1729–1731 for the Holy Grave Chapel at Michaelsberg Abbey in Bamberg. The fragile bubbles become a memento mori: beautiful for a moment, then gone. I like the contrast. Rococo art is often associated with elegance and ornament, yet here all that beauty is used to remind us how temporary life is. A surprisingly gentle way to depict something as unsettling as death.
