We did it. Big thanks to everyone who joined, participated, and showed up. What a ride. @Cointelegraph @CointelegraphAc @FundersVC #ethcc
So KBW 2025 in Seoul just wrapped. 20K+ attendees, hundreds of companies, founders, investors, officials & builders. Vibe = hype + real deals + networking.
Main Trend - deAI. Everybody talking about turning AI into on-chain assets. @AlloraLabsHQ pushing collective models. @SaharaAI pushing tokenized compute, $AID, GPU cash flows. @SentientAGI flexing GRID - open AGI network. @AntixXYZ showing AI avatars for creators. @MyShellAI working agents. @AethirCo builds deAI dinners & ecosystem nights. Asia is waking up to AI + blockchain.
Launchpads and tokenomics. @BuidlPad (via Erick Zhang), @NomadCapital, @HackVC, @VirtualsProtocol on “Launchpad of the Year” panels. ICO 2.0 = more structure & compliance, less chaos. @Monad Project having their own push: meetup, TGE planned September 30, circulations hint at FDV ~$10–15B. I’ll be watching their drop closely - might be SmartMove.
Side events. @TRONfoundation pulled crowds with interactive booths. @IPFUN announced exclusive NFTs at afterparty - might genuinely hold value. Show up, get an NFT, maybe sell it. @AethirCo + Bluwhale & OpenLedger hosted Pioneer Connect for founders, investors & KOLs. @TacBuild teased a possible Upbit listing. Sidekick Labs launched Season 2 wrap. And that “Disneyland” by MemeCore? Probably cost millions. But my crown jewel was Hyperliquid Hackathon - built with passion, dozens of teams, live community vibe & products that might break out tomorrow.
Institutions and regulations. @chainlink & @SOOHO_IO launched Project Namsan - consortium for stablecoin ecosystem. Meanwhile, KRW1 by BDACS & Woori Bank (on Avalanche), fully backed by Korean won, is now real. On top of that, retail is moving on-chain - users going into airdrop farming, DEXs, perps (e.g. Hyperliquid). RWA & real asset tokenization echoed everywhere - art, property, credit. Political tone is softening, capital flowing into deeptech infra.
Final Vibe. In Asia, they don’t just judge your code - they judge your character. It's not just panels and parties, it’s about trust, grit, and the human behind the project. KBW 2025 confirmed: we’re shifting toward real products - AI + blockchain, RWA, bank-backed stablecoins, institutional bridges. Bullish for Q4 launches and airdrops. Korea solidifying as crypto hub.
My Top Picks: @SaharaAI, @SentientAGI, @AlloraLabsHQ, @AethirCo, @Monad Project, @Hyperliquid_xyz.
So yesterday started with a late-night Disneyland-style party by MemeCore… and at 2am Korean time I had to switch to more serious stuff and watch the OrangeDAO Demo Day.
Alliance DAO @alliancedao @DangerWillRobin @lmrankhan and OrangeDAO @OrangeDAOxyz @berkozero are, in my view, two of the strongest accelerators in Web3.
Alliance DAO is backed by Founders Fund and Peter Thiel. It’s often considered the #1 Web3 accelerator. The combined valuation of its portfolio is already $12B+, including the well-known Pump.fun.
OrangeDAO grew from a WhatsApp group of YC (Y Combinator) alumni back in 2020. Since then: 50+ joint investments with YC and about 20 with a16z. I don’t see them as competitors - the market is big enough. They basically do the same thing: help startups find product-market fit, raise capital, and meet top funds. Twice a year, they host Demo Days that attract dozens of strong investors. For me personally, being invited to these lists is a big honour.
Yesterday’s OrangeDAO Demo Day featured 11 companies. All very different, but each with potential. Here’s what they’re building:
Rumi - rumilabs.io @RumiLabs_io
AI for working with intellectual property. Indexes and analyzes patents and R&D docs. Faster and cheaper than heavy LLMs like Gemini.
Theseus - theseuschain.com @TheseusChain
A blockchain (L1) designed for AI agents. Machines can hold assets and act autonomously. Foundation for an economy where bots are market participants.
Huddle - huddleinfra.com
Decentralized infra for AI and robotics. <50ms latency, 3,000+ nodes, clients moving away from AWS.
Clayton Farms - claytonfarms.com @ClaytonFarms
Network of local vertical farms. Food goes from farm to table in minutes. Already 300K+ customers.
Wallib - wallib.com
Super-app for LatAm. Payments, card, crypto on/off-ramps. Tackles the pain of slow and expensive banks.
OctoMarket - octomarket.org @OctoMarket
Omnichain DEX for meme coins and leverage trading (100+ assets, up to 100x).
0.finance
Treasury platform. Idle cash in USD/EUR/USDC earns up to 8% APY, withdraw anytime.
Impulse AI - impulselabs.ai
Launch and train AI models without DevOps.
Qupaca - qupaca.com
Decentralized casino where users share the house edge.
EQX - eq.exchange
Fintech bridging TradFi and Web3.
Scratch - scratch.money
On-chain lottery: transparent, fair, and yield-generating.
What happens next? I go back to the office with my analyst team. We dig deeper into each project: risk-reward profile, market size and barriers, whether the founder has grit to go all the way, and if their vision matches our fund thesis. Then come founder calls, and later due diligence, to see if they can really hit milestones and make money for us. And it goes both ways, founders will look at to see whether my fund can be a valuable partner and bring added value.
My personal takeaways: I’m a gambler at heart, so I like Scratch. Simple mechanics, transparency, viral potential. Since I’ve been paying close attention to health, Clayton Farms really resonates with me. Massive real-world market. I clearly see the scale of Wallib. LatAm has been waiting for a clean on/off-ramp solution. 0.finance I need to go deeper into. I want to understand their real advantage in treasury. For Theseus, Rumi, and Huddle I need my analysts’ input. Too many new AI infra projects on the market — the main question isn’t tech, it’s monetization.
Demo Day is just the beginning. The real work starts after.
