What controls fallen wood decay in the 🇦🇺tropics? Mainly wood traits & their impact on microbes. But termites are also important decomposers in rainforest

This week I had an email from someone I didn't know asking me to look at their paper as "we need you to paraphrase it to decline similarity"
I came across this in a paper ). "A fail-safe number (2480461) was estimated by the Rosenthal Approach, which was larger than 5 k + 10 (k means no. of observations), supporting a dataset without publication bias."
I was wondering how many apparently meaningless sentences got through the technical parts of papers?
