It's not an odd red line. It's one thing to condemn Hamas out of their own volition, and another to do so simply because Israel asks them to do it.
Gotta give @IhabHassane credit where it's due. This is an odd red line which the Arab politicians have.

Agudah and Eidah have different politics because they have different origin stories.
Agudah was a party intended to represent European Haredi Jews in Europe (e.g. Politicized Haredism) whereas Eidah HaChareidis was purely a Jerusalemite creation that was born out of Yerushalmi Interests, in order to retain their independence from Zionism. Early on they overlapped, then they separated politically -- though they still retain relationships on the ground.
Essentially, Eidah and Agudah were never the same and never had the same interests

Brother im not going to pretend to be expert in the ins and outs of haredi culture and politics but what youre saying is just not accurate. They are not the representatives *regardless of ideology* because Edah people do not vote and are not represented by them.
Diff ideology.
A lot of these "le Israel was a European nation" posts is just mischling stock seeking to morally legitimize their indeterminate identity while hating on "arabs" and "browns" as a reinforcement mechanism.
The only ones who think I look ridiculous are you and the army of copy/paste straussian trolls who learned (or whose parents learned, if they are even Jewish) how to read and write Hebrew last tuesday, after being choked out by the ערלה of 150 years of assimilation of Europe, the USSR, and America.
I have my differences with Judaism as a religion, but this isn't even what you believe in, since you have made עסקנות and שתדלנות your religion.

At this point I see you as a Brother Nathaniel type character. Willing to make yourself look ridiculous in order to attack Jews. Your spite has hardened your heart such that you are no longer able see Jews as human beings with human emotions
So the CEO of Jews helped out The Blacks and therefore the Blacks owe perpetual fealty to Jews?

You don’t understand why there’s a sense of betrayal when minority communities that Jews have helped (out of a sense of moral obligation, as you pointed out) are suddenly buying the propaganda that Jews are nazis?
tbh I rarely heard the term 'ashkenazi' used in any sort of ethnic or tribal context. People were identified with the regions and customs and cultures they came from.
The divisions were largely liturgical, and in that, you had:
- Ashkenaz
- Sephardic
- Hasidic (a blend of Ashkenaz and Sephardic)
- Yemenite
Now, within Ashkenaz you had divisions (e.g. Yekke/German or Litvak), and within Hasidic you had divisions (e.g. Galician or Polish)
Likewise within Sephard you had divisions e.g. Moroccan, Iraqi, or Turkish/Bulgarian
Outside of the religious world, Ashkenaz had some ethnic connotation, referring to the genetic pool of Central-Eastern European Jews.. but as Jews became more and more intermixed, this notion of being a genetic group is no longer applicable. The average Ashkenazi today is mixed with (usually white) gentile or other sephardic. The primary remnants of purebred Ashkenazim today are the Haredim.
Therefore, the term "Ashkenazi" today simply refers to Jews who are culturally and physically white, regardless of ethnic origin. The Ashkenazi of 1850 has little to do with (and is hardly as white as) the average "American Jew".
Now, American Zionists take advantage of this as a way to both launder their mixed ancestry and as a way to assert their proximity to whiteness, as a way to convince American whites that Zionism is their cause as well.
Political Judaism and Jewry in general is obsessed with itself, because absent any real principles, values, or definition, it defines itself purely by things that are against it.
In this sense, "Zionism" and "Judaism" operate and function the same. Zionism merely adds the geographical-political dimension.
Way too late for that.
We spent so much time and effort advocating for every disadvantaged community in the US and they sold us out for literal fucking terrorists.
I hope republicans deport their friends and take their hormones away.
Jews created a lot of the progressive movement. And with the help of God, we will destroy it.
It pisses me off to no end when Jews expect some kind of entitlement or reciprocation for xyz, as if every single message of political support needs to derive from pragmatic calculations. I thought Jews supported progressive causes because because it supposedly was part of their ideals?
What changed?
He said, she said
BG has control over state apparatus that brings those words into action, and serve as justification for harsh and cruel policies.
What a random Arab (Palestinian or otherwise) says about Jews is irrelevant and can change on a dime depending on political and social circumstance, but when BG says it, he's saying it with the entire momentum of the Israeli state.
This was a fairly common and uncontroversial take growing up, even if it wasn't a majority opinion. To see people express faux outrage as if they've never heard this before is to essentually assuage their own assimilatory tendencies.
What isn’t talked about enough in yeshivos is the historic division (that still exists today) between the rabbinical class and the working class.
Only by Ashkenazim, there is a real contempt from many Jews against the rabbis. Especially in modern orthodox communities but even by chassidim and litvaks.
We all know the modox boomer type who is not happy with his sons or grandkids shtarking out and putting on a black hat. It’s a real phenomenon where the Hamon Am doesn’t accept certain truths that the rabbis have taught for ages.
For example, Rashi teaches that one who makes others leave the path of Torah and Mitzvos is worse than one who kills him. Hence logically follows that Herzl was worse than Hitler. But how many frum people struggle to accept this truth taught by Chazal?
Looking at history it’s nothing new. Over 1,000 years ago there were Radhanite merchants, baalabatim who castrated young boys caught by the Vikings to sell them to Arabs. The act of castrating is an issur min HaTorah, and the geonim spoke out against this is teshuvos at the time. Yet the culprits kept doing it.
The heilige Mogein Avrohom ZTL says
Daas Baalabatim eina Daas Torah
This division will always exist
Being yeshivish is really just understanding that the Daas Torah is the only way to look at the world, and the only truth.
