So I just did a thing. I was just on the Dr. Laura Schlessinger Show promoting my books Bad Dates and 128 Small Things You Can Do Right Now To Make the World a Better Place.

The temps dropped nearly 30 degrees so we're officially in soup weather. Drop your favorite soup recipe in the comments, please. 👇🍜.
This is the life I was meant to live.

Here's your custom Hallmark-style Halloween romance:
Pumpkin Spice Kisses
A skeptical city writer inherits a pumpkin farm and collides with the charming local farmer who swears the town has real magic. Festivals, black cats, and autumn nights turn rivalry into romance under the full moon. Cozy, sweet, zero gore.
This is the one I got (affiliate link), but I think I might have to get the dinosaur one too. link.amazon/B0e2hkF5z
Wow. This is big.
Duluth is dark blue, like the Twin Cities.
If Bernie is upstate hitting the trail for Flanagan ...
...Tafoya is probably going to win.
My Grokbot is adding all my books to Ingram and making the adjustments to the covers and all the other things I missed when I started this journey. This is an amazing time saver. My Grokbot has also created a marketing plan with items I would have never considered on my own. This is a game changer for indie authors.
I'm so sick of Halloween and all its sequels on nonstop play. I'm sick of most of the Halloween movies, have they made one in the recent past that was interesting?
In other words - I'm looking for a good Halloween movie that isn't a slasher flick, or gory scary like the Saw movies.
Basically I want a Hallmark Halloween movie. Are there any you recommend?
I woke up with Oh! Susannah stuck in my head and this is so much worse than TLC's No Scrubs!!!
What your worst earworm?
One day @johnondrasik will not just like my posts, but he will follow me, and until he does I will keep posting about this amazing song he wrote.
And let's face it, I will continue to post about this song, and his others, even after he follows me, because there are few songwriters like him anymore.
The Riddle was released in 2006, the year my father died. The song was released in May, my father passed away in late September. We buried him in October.
We had a complicated relationship, and yet somehow John managed to encapsulate it so beautifully in just under 4 minutes without knowing either of us.
I've been writing about my father my whole life and I have never been able to tie it up so neatly. And I actually knew him.
The whole song makes me happy/sad/grateful/longing but none of it so much as the lyrics "Hey, dad" because that is how I started each call I had with him.
And even though we disagreed about a lot of things, he always picked up the phone.
There were only two idols the boys on my block/in my generation looked up to - Evel Knievel and Mohammad Ali.
That was it. Those were the choices.
And it wasn't a choice. You could ride your banana seat BMX bike off a ramp and jab your best friend in the face, you didn't have to pick one.
And none of them did.
Every American man aged 60 - 65 knows every word to this song.

What stupid question should I ask tonight to get the most engagement?
Should I go with the classic - "If you're GenX, did you drink out of the hose?"
Or should I go with the more friendly "You can bring back one" with a collage of our favorite dead icons?
Please put Kamala Harris back in the bottle or wherever she's been for the last two years. I cannot listen to her voice and Amy Klobuchar's in the same cycle.
