Everyone knows that Israel's permanent and expanding occupation of Palestine presents only two options:
(1) One state with a racial underclass that lives in apartheid conditions, or (2) One state with equal rights for all
It's safe to ignore anyone who pretends otherwise
When I ask Israeli colleagues why there isn't movement toward a 2-state solution, they say, "Because a Palestinian state would instantly be taken over my Hamas, who would launch nonstop suicide bombings, rocket attacks, and 10/7s in a campaign to destroy Israel." The response of Western pro-Palestinians: "Yes!!!!" | Is the Pro-Palestine Movement the Israeli Right’s Unlikely Ally? open.substack.com/pub/quille…
It's beautiful to watch the Trump administration expand civil rights protections. I didn't know that "justifying the mass slaughter of children" was a protected characteristic
The @CivilRights is aware of the denial of service taunts to @danielsgoldman by Poetica Coffee in Brooklyn.
Federal law prohibits public accommodations such as coffee shops from discriminating against patrons based on their race, religion, or national origin. These actions are not only reprehensible, they’re potentially illegal. The Civil Rights Division has opened an investigation, and will bring an enforcement action if warranted.
If you have been denied service at a public accommodation on the basis of a protected characteristic, we at @TheJusticeDept want to know!
The impact of not releasing the report seems more damaging than releasing it at this point
Why leave to voters’ imagination the level of control that pro-Israel donors have over the Democratic Party?
Unless it’s far worse than we can imagine
Always happy to chat with fellow Democrats. At the end of the day, we all want Democrats to win. Here are some of the key takeaways from 2024 and 2025 that we're putting into action to do just that. Take a look: democrats.org/playbook

Funny that Trump may end the Iran war with a U.S. military defeat before the Democrats even develop a position on the conflict.
Seems pretty obvious that amplifying Mr. Kent is the best course of action right now
Unless you think the harm of “platforming a bigot” outweighs saving thousands of Iranian and Lebanese souls from murder
Unfortunately, there's more room for criticism of Israel among party and policy elites in the MAGA movement than in the Democratic Party

Joe Biden was among the most pro-Israel presidents in U.S. history. He stood with Israel on Oct. 7, delivered the strongest pro-Israel speech ever by an American president, became the first to visit Israel during wartime, provided $22B+ in aid, and twice led international coalitions to defeat Iranian attacks. His record is undeniable.
🚨President Biden's adviser @amoshochstein told me in response: "Netanyahu is both not telling the truth and ungrateful to a president that literally saved Israel at its most vulnerable moment"
This is just “don’t boo—vote” for professional-class progressives who get queasy over the word genocide
Congrats to Kamala Harris, who refused to adjust her position on Gaza to fall in line with 70 percent of her party’s base. She sure showed us. Us, and the rest of the planet, but hey, she got to cherish her pro-Israel principles with the satisfaction of a cat licking its own ass.
I seem to recall a single-issue ‘pro-Israel’ candidate, who’d rather lose the most consequential election in modern history than stop funding and enabling a genocide
A tiny bullet at the end on substantive policy, which skillfully avoids mentioning the top reason Democrats didn't show up in 2024. These people are addicted to losing.

NEWS: The DNC is killing off its 2024 autopsy.
DNC Chairman Ken Martin has decided not to publish a public report, believing that a backward-looking document would be counterproductive as the party has started winning.

Pearl's intelligence exhibits a high degree of domain-specificity which unfortunately does not extend to middle east politics
Judea Pearl is universally revered as a pioneer of our understanding of causality and how it can be incorporated into artificial intelligence. He's also the father of the WSJ journalist Daniel Pearl who was murdered by jihadist militants. In his new book (available for preorder now) he presents his keen analysis of conflict & peace in the Middle East: Coexistence and Other Fighting Words: Selected Writings of Judea Pearl, 2002–2025. amazon.com/dp/1895131731?ref…
1. Palestine's neighbor is dead-set on destroying it.
2. Israel has literally never respected international security forces. (See below.)
3. Given 1 and 2, how is it rational for Palestine demilitarize and trust its security to international security forces?
Israel has attacked UN peacekeepers in Lebanon three times since September using grenades, heavy machine guns, tanks and drones – before claiming without evidence that its forces made a mistake and were targeting Hezbollah.
The attacks come as Israel repeatedly bombs Lebanon in violation of a ceasefire agreement while also building an illegal wall inside Lebanese territory that has made more than 4,000 sq metres inaccessible to the country’s citizens.
On Sunday, IDF soldiers driving a Merkava tank on the Lebanese side of the border fired at blue helmets from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
“Heavy machine gun rounds hit approximately five meters from the peacekeepers, who were on foot and had to take shelter in the terrain,” UNIFIL said in a statement. “Peacekeepers asked for the IDF to stop firing through UNIFIL’s liaison channels… Fortunately, no one was injured.”
“This represents a serious violation of Security Council resolution 1701,” it added, referring to a 2006 agreement that marked the end of Israel’s all-out war with Hezbollah.
The IDF claimed after Sunday’s attack that it had misidentified the peacekeepers in the El Hamames border area due to “poor weather conditions”.
In October, an Israeli drone dropped grenades near a UN patrol close to Kfar Kila. “Moments later, an Israeli tank fired a shot towards the peacekeepers,” UNIFIL said. A similar attack in early September saw IDF drones drop four grenades close to blue helmets working to clear a roadblock.
Israel has killed several people in air strikes in Lebanon this month amid daily ceasefire violations. Over 4,000 people have been killed and around 17,000 injured by IDF attacks there since October 2023.
The Security Council on Monday adopted a US plan to send a so-called International Stabilization Force to Gaza as part of a ceasefire deal that Israel has also repeatedly violated.
Critics say the plan will entrench US and Israeli control over the strip.
“The US, co-perpetrator of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, and principal sponsor of the Israeli regime, has just been granted control of the survivors in Gaza,” human rights lawyer Craig Mokhiber said on X.
