How the hell can Mike Tapp โ a former IMMIGRATION minister โ not have even be AWARE of the most basic information about the situation in Israel and Palestine?
Even if you (for some reason) were to agree with his position, this is just utterly embarrassing for him and the Labour Party.

I wish everyone who isn't an Arabic speaker could see the posts and comments from Muslims in Palestine and Jordan regarding the terror attack on the church. It is honestly heartwarming: it's all condemnation and demands to look at how ideology uses religion to massacre innocents. No conspiracy theories, no attempts to blame "Mossad," the "US," etc.
On the other hand, it is depressing seeing the discourse in English.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Friday in an interview with Roy Katz that Israel must prepare an economy capable of operating around international sanctions, including possible restrictions on its banking system, and suggested digital currencies and blockchain technology could provide alternatives. He also warned that Israel should prepare for the eventual end of American military assistance as the United States changes.

The centrist cul-de-sac: stay silent on tough issues to win, but once you win you have to keep staying silent so as not to endanger front line candidates.
Or you could have the courage to offer an actually compelling governing agenda, build support for it, and then do it.

๐งต Ok. Here's as much sense as I can make of scenarios for Iran war resuming before Israeli election/US midterms.
1. ๐ดIran attacks first/preemptively: Very unlikely
2.๐ก US attacks before/alongside Israel: Unlikely, not impossible.
3. ๐ข Israel attacks first: increasingly likely.
4. White House deputy press sec is emphatic that America will not attack Iran before the midterms. This doesn't even touch upon, much less rule out, Israel attacking sooner.
5. And this is assuming US denials aren't ruses de guerre / only valid till impulsive u-turn / lies.
6. Add to this cancelled leaves for Israeli troops, bomb shelters starting to open up (on local initiatives, but still), Israeli telegram megachannels drumming up hysteria & Netanyahu now claiming Iran WILL attack before elex - and it doesn't look pretty.
