Apple received criticism for putting the power button on the bottom of the new Mac mini, so let's flashback to when Apple put…
ALL THE PORTS, the reset button, and the interrupt button on the bottom of the G4 Cube.
ALT Two images in one. The top shows a Power Mac G4 Cube sitting on the desk in Krazy Ken's lair. The second image shows the bottom of the Mac with the reset and interrupt buttons in the lower left. The I/O is also on the bottom: Ethernet, 2 FireWire 400, Apple Display Connector, 2 USB, VGA, modem, and power.

The Macbook Pro gets its M4 update
The entire Mac lineup now starts with 16GB of memory 👍🏾
(I'm still on my M1 Max and doing just fine, but this is the first one I've been tempted by)

So Apple’s week of Mac updates has begun, starting with the iMac refresh
Same design, new colors and new M4 chip starting with 16GB of memory (almost every comparison is to M1 because it’s a relatively marginal bump from M3)
Also:
- New Center-Stage ultrawide webcam
- All 4 USB-C ports now Thunderbolt
- Matte nano texture option available
- Mouse and keyboard are now USB-C. I think we can finally officially say RIP to the Lightning port

Headline: The iPad Mini FINALLY got an update in 2024!
Reality:
- It's just new colors and the A17 Pro chip
- Apple Pencil Pro support now
- Bumps to 128GB base storage
$499
My take: It's the Apple Intelligence update.
