How long until Claude Code will work with a local model in the computer and without realising we will still pay the subscription?

You need to wake up. The open internet is dying. AI agents are swarming banks, hacking grocery stores, and shutting down government websites. Critical infrastructure (refrigeration units, water sanitation) could be next. Secure your life. I give you a roadmap in this video.

Software engineering is still difficult. AI has only solved the coding part.

Creer que "redistribuir la riqueza" acabará la pobreza, es como creer que promediar la nota del aula, acabará con la ignorancia del que no estudia. Esto sólo es invento del socialismo.

This is the beginning of a paradigm shift in agent architecture.

We used to estimate “tickets” in “story points” and you could get away with building CRUD API for 2 weeks

We've found huge benefits moving our tooling layer to CLI. Now, instead of making 1-by-1 tool calls, the agent can use the tools in bash scripts which is very powerful. It can get a lot of work done in a single bash command rather than having to stitch together MCP calls.

I think the plan is to get researchers to start using their AI with a limited compute budget, then once they have all the academic data, they’ll basically steal all their ideas from underneath them and run the research internally with their unlimited compute budget!
We’re giving scientists, mathematicians, and engineers free access to our frontier models—starting with 10,000 researchers and expanding to 100,000 through 2027. ChatGPT for Academic Researchers is built to accelerate discovery across disciplines.

AI capability and cost going in a U shape. This is what happens with scale, its why tesla only builds like 4 types of car, its why gpt is insanely cheap for what you get and codex seems like an unreal deal right now post-Astra Original from soggy_bert on reddit

Being a senior at work is deleting that task that has been in the backlog for 6 months and people want to keep it "just in case"

You can do real serious work with the new models. Just depends on who’s driving them
